I need to move all my recordings/video/photos etc to another hard drive. Am i right in assuming all i need to do is change the paths in the database (gbpvr.mdb) and change the paths in the config app to point to the new drive? Any other places i need to change in the registry/some hidden file?
I know plugins can be accessed while watching Live TV by adding them in config.xml but they view at full screen and sometimes it's distracting. Also, don't know if it will work with Live TV on Live TV.
Wished there was a real PIP, probably a smaller window in a corner using another free tuner (provided it's available) to view other channels while watching another channel. Combined with the live tv guide, a chance to preview the show without removing the original show would be a good feature then switch if I like previewed show.
Got my MVP, all is hooked up and working great, even customized "MountainLake" skin with my own pics etc.
The question I have is the "browse mini guide" ... I can't get it to come up. I can show the channel info etc for the current channel but not the miniguide. Anyone know how to do this? Anyone have a map of what all the buttons actually do?
Not sure if there's a way to satisfy this now which I haven't had, but what I would find useful (and more comfortable re giving others in the family access to the gbpvr menus) is some level of protection against accidental deletion of TV recordings. For example maybe via:
- confirmation required or
- undo function or
- even just leave recordings in directory and require manual deletion or
- as above but with automatic deletion after 7 days or if you run out of disk space.
I see posts about recordings not stopping, but I have a different issue.
I pad the endings, but sometimes I know a show has ended on time. I cancel it, but it won't stop recording. Even more odd is that it disappears from the pending list, and isn't in the ready list until the last minute is past.
How do you tell recording to stop? I seem to be able to do this w/ ones that have just started, but it never seems to work if you try in the last few minutes.
I am trying to use My Music, the Music Library shows my mp3's and allows me to play them.
It does not display either my mp3's or playlists. If I select PlayList..File list, then I can see my songs, but they aren't playlists, Then if I highlight a playlist (really a single mp3) and press enter, nothing happens. It says playlists in the upper right corner of "My Music" screen.
I'm wondering if anyone has written a plug in database viewer for GBpvr. Even a list viewer of some sort.
I don't use GBpvr for DVD viewing i use 3 Sony carousel DVD players. It's inconvenient to go to the computer all the time, it's two floors away, to see what's where. It sure would be nice to just bring up the list of what's available to watch on DVD, and what slot it's been assigned to.
Just done a cean install of 93.10 using Nova-T USB. Channel scan and mapping looks fine in config, but in TV guide I have ITV2 logo against both 2 and 3. If I try to select ITV2, no programs can be highlighted and description says 'close'.
Where should I look or this problem?
