I have installed xDVD plugins, so I can watch ISO or DVD using my MVP in other room. I am not sure on the sequence of events that needs to occur for successful play.
Sometime, I hit previous, and I get the DVD/ISO to play, but If I hit Play, it comes back with L:\DVD.mpg is being used by another process.
L: is my external harddrive, and it is where all the ISO's are located.
I do have VLC installed, and I see ISO is mounted in virtual drive K, but I just don't understand the sequence of events for successful play.
Please help me understand what should I do first. Should I hit trandcode first then hit Play or hit Play first, and it should automatically trigger transcode.
MVP is slowly growing on me, and I really like the ability to watch and pause and forward live TV which is just totally cool.
I am tring to find out why the MyVideo plugin refuses to load. It wont load with no matter what skin I use. I have the current MyVideo installed.
I have made sure that MyVideosPlugin.dll is in the plugin directory and the current skin (Xmedia) is loaded.
If someone can take a look at this log and see if they see what is wrong, that would be great.
By the way, after about a day tring to figure it out, i wiped the drive and installed fresh, only to get the same thing
thanks!
Here is a clip of the error log.

Hello,
just like many others here I encountered GB-PVR when looking for an alternative to the WinTV-Software that comes with Hauppauge Nova-T USB2.
In the beginning I was very happy with GB-PVR because it helped me
getting very close to my goal: Viewing and recording, using only the remote control as input device.
Currently it is the best software I found, but I still found some drawbacks that prevent me frome getting really happy. I just want to list them here, maybe
somebody can help me on, it would be great.
1.) Muxers:
I tried the Cyberlink Version 5 Multiplexer and the built in Windows XP Muxer that produces the dvr-ms-Format. Only the Windows-XP-Muxer worked flawless, the one from Cyberlink worked well for some channels, but there was at least one channel where the recording contained gaps and skips. I had to got with the XP-Muxer because of that, thus unfortunately I am stuck to the proprietary dvr-ms-Format.
2.) Remote Control
Don't know if this is related to GB-PVR: Pressing OK on the remote control seems to send two signals instead of one: The selection jumps up one step and then the wrong item is selected, instead of just selecting the right item. I experienced that with GB-PVR and not with the original software, s I post it here, though I am not sure if it is software related.
3.) Programming Guide
Channel mapping seemed to work, but there is at least one channel that behaves strangely. If I select it, sometimes the right channel is shown, sometimes no channel at all, and sometimes a different channel that is not mapped to this item.
4.) Channel list
I added and remove a second capture source in the configuration tool.
But event after removing the capure source, the channel list in the
config tool still contains the items from the deleted source. How can I get
rid of them.
Trying to understand if Twinhan DVB-S with CI is working with scrambled channels!
When I’m reading on the forum it seems to have been a problem earlier, but how are things with current release (v0.94.13)?
When in Video Archive and viewing a video, once it terminated, I press on 'Stop' on my Cyberlink Remote Control (Thanks Sub for adding the support to this one) to return to the Video Archive screen.
The problem is that it then automatically toggle display mode between list view and preview view.
If I press on 'Stop' again to toggle display mode again, it does its twice so I'm stuck at preview mode.
So it feel like the 'Stop' button is sent twice to GB-PVR, but it could also be a problem with the support of the Cyberlink R/C in GB-PVR...
The problem is not present when using CTRL-S on the keyboard.
Hopefully, this is something easy to duplicate and fix for Sub or the PlugIn author...
I've got a problem with GB-PVR displaying subtitles from .srt-files twice on top of each other, I've not had this problem before and I think it has been this way since I installed the new version. I know that one of the subtitles displayed comes from the DirectVobSub (whatever the name is) plug-in, but the second one I'm not sure where it comes from. If I play the same video in for example Zoom-player only the subtitle from DirectVobSub is displayed.
Is this second subtitle displayed by GB-PVR itself, and in that case how do I turn it off? DirectVobSub is to me the preffered way of displaying the subtitles since it has support for Unicode and also it looks nicer.
ok, my power when out and then gb pvr would no longer work. i had to uninstall it and delete the folder and reinstall a new one because something nolonger worked right with .net frame work or what ever it is. Now i have it working but every time i try to watch live tv i get an error that says something like "directvobsub:ipersiststream is no longer supported" and i have to click ok before it will play and it seems to do this before it will start recording also. any help?
o and is there any way for me to add all my old shows back in so they are in the recorded menu?
Ok, I am using XP64 3000+ @ 2.7GHz, Epox NF4 Board, 1GB of Ram, Nvidia 6800 Ultra, and PVR150. When I first installed the card, I installed GBPVR immediately, not using the Hauppauge software. I noticed that my CPU usage would always be at 50-60% while doing nothing. Sometimes it would be at 100%, while I was physically doing nothing. I thought it might be GBPVR, because I was having trouble with the EPG update. So luckily I had taken an image of my drive while clean, so I reloaded the image. Checked my cpu usage, and it was normal, 0-2%. I then downloaded the latest Hauppauge driver from their site, and my cpu usage immediately went up to 50-60% again, while idle. This is before I got GBPVR installed.
Has anyone encountered this before? Is there any solutions? What's a good alternate card, maybe the saphire 550 i've heard about?
