  Recording
Posted by: Fredpebble2 - 2020-01-02, 07:01 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Hello,  Just installed Nextpvr on to my windows 10 laptop with a DVB usb dongle.  Loaded up the Lav filters, scanned for stations, all okay.
Did a recording using the EPG,  when the recording had finished I went to the recordings page where the title of the recording was displayed, Clicked play and after a few seconds a message was displayed, you have finished watching the video ( or something similar ), but no video played. Any thoughts, what have I missed?

How does one launch the desktop app on a machine other than the V5 server? I can find no help on this.

Thanks.

  IPTV Question/Request

Loving the work on v5. I've run into a small issue.
I'm using v5 on Linux, but I do not think this is a Linux issue.

The following playlist (one channel) works on VLC:

Code:
#EXTM3U #EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="600" tvg-logo="" group-title="Entertainment",AMC #EXTVLCOPT:http-referrer=http://123tvnow.com http://docs-3.gogleusercontent.host/live/amc/playlist.m3u8

When used in NextPVR, the transcoder / ffmpeg fails with this in the logs:

Quote:ffmpeg version 3.4.6-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 Copyright © 2000-2019 the FFmpeg developers
built with gcc 7 (Ubuntu 7.3.0-16ubuntu3)

http://127.0.0.1:8866/live?channeloid=78...efe56dad6a: Invalid data found when processing input

I suspect that this is happening because the HTTP header isn't being sent (http-referrer). I was going to attempt to confirm this by injecting the headers into the ffmpeg command, however it looks like its being handled this way:

Quote:ffmpeg -y -i http://127.0.0.1:8866/live?channeloid=78...efe56dad6a -map_metadata -1 -threads 0 -ignore_unknown -map 0:v:0 -map 0:a:0 -map -0Confused -vcodec copy -acodec copy -hls_time 3 -start_number 0 -hls_list_size 1203 -y /var/opt/nextpvr/web/temp/AMC-d6a10e573f3d4aa8a1b7bc82803ae652.m3u8

which appears to me like NextPVR pulls the data and acts as a proxy for the stream to ffmpeg. So any injection i do into the command wouldn't make a difference.

Is there a way to make this channel list work with NextPVR? If not, is this something that could be implemented?

  Play back issues
Posted by: MrGenius1 - 2020-01-01, 02:19 AM - Forum: Docker amd64 - Replies (3)

Not sure how to explain the issue. I am running NextPVR v5.0.1.191224 in a Docker in LibreElec 9.2.0(Main Box). I have clients running LibreElec 9.2.0 on Raspberry Pi 4. I am able to record and play back fine on the main box. I am able to schedule recordings no problem on the client but some of the recordings won't play back but they play fine on the main box.  A few of the recordings on the client play like the fast forward button is stuck and it does this for a few seconds then stops the recording. Again these same recording play fine on the main box.

Live tv plays fine, Emby plays fine. I'm at a loss, hopefully someone can help me figure this out.

  IPTV M3U

I would love to see the ability to have auto updates to the IPTV m3u file device like the guide does. This way my m3u stays up to date along with my guide.

What controls where the user ".NPVR-data" resides?
Posted by: CDinger - 2019-12-30, 03:45 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (2)

First, I am using Arch linux so I am following Subs manual install option. I am asking where the userdata should reside because I experienced a very odd change over the weekend. When shutting down my computer it went into and odd loop on the evening of the 28th and after ~20 minutes I shut it down by holding the power button until it shutdown.

I'm a little foggy on the next steps but I think when it rebooted NextPVR web interface came up but all settings were gone. I believe I then tried to reinstall NPVR.zip but I may have just started the process of scanning for channels, etc. Either way I did end up rescanning and resetting up NextPVR.

On the 29th I was trying to verify NextEnd was functioning properly after upgrading to the dotnet 3.1 version when I noticed shows were being recorded but the nrecord.log showed the wrong date/time. A search for nrecord.log found another instance in /root/.NPVR-data/logs/nrecord.log which had the correct date/time. The change of locations happened Dec 28 between the times below from the journalctl log but again I didn't discover this until the 29th.

Dec 28 17:07:30 Arch sh[475]: NEXTPVR_DATADIR_USERDATA /home/craig/.NPVR-data/

Dec 28 17:42:42 Arch sh[408]: NEXTPVR_DATADIR_USERDATA /root/.NPVR-data/

On the 29th I removed the /root and all subdirectories and reinstalled NPVR.zip as I had done previously using Ark....but now the userdata folder is a root level folder /.NPVR.data as below

Dec 29 08:29:28 Arch sh[573]: NEXTPVR_DATADIR_USERDATA /root/.NPVR-data/

Dec 29 12:21:24 Arch sh[39407]: NEXTPVR_DATADIR_USERDATA /.NPVR-data/

I copied my NPVR.db3 file from /home/craig/.NPVR-data/npvr.db3 to /.NPRV-data/npvr.db3 and NPVR recognized all my prior recordings and settings.

I can work with userdata residing at /.NPVR-data but the change seems really odd.

Attached are logs generated from the /.NPVR-data location.

Kodi live tv crashing back to main NextPVR dashboard
Posted by: Ddodge13 - 2019-12-30, 12:50 PM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - Replies (42)

How do I post logs from Kodi? I’m using NextPVR on a Windows 10 server, with fire tv with Kodi as all my clients. The server is working fine. All of a sudden on all clients, I launch a live channel and after 30 seconds it shuts the channel off and takes me back to the NextPVR main screen.

  Issues launching NextPVR
Posted by: filosad - 2019-12-29, 11:39 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Hello,

Fresh install of the OS and NextPVR v4.x.  When launching the client, it seems to sit minimized in the sys tray with no way to open the program.  If I attempt to run in full screen and then minimize, no way to get the client up and running.  That said, no way to get into the program or TV Guide.

Any Ideas ?

Copy watched indication to new PC
Posted by: Haggis - 2019-12-28, 06:23 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I seem to remember seeing this question before but can't remember the outcome and can't find anything about it. I'm moving my recordings to a different PC so will do the export on the old then the import on the new one, but know that the 'watched' indication will not be carried over. I see it resides in the db and its not in the exported recordings xml, but is there any way to get it on to the new PC?

Mapped Channels Don't seem to want to stick
Posted by: mwkurt - 2019-12-28, 03:31 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (3)

Hello,

Am having an issue with channels that are mapped. The channel name seems to want to vacillate between 2, sometimes 3 channel names. From what I can tell it would be the first channel on the m3u as well as the last channel selected and the actual channel name. This makes editing a channel hit or miss because when "save" is selected, you get whatever channel name happens to be present at the time. I have taken a video of the behavior. Please

Thank you,
