New to NextPVR, and learning how to use it for the same things I use WMC.

When I record baseball games in WMC, it's easy to set it to record up to three additional hours after the scheduled end of the game.  One rare occasion, every minute of was needed to capture an entire extra-inning game.

In NextPVR when setting the post-padding for a recording, the highest value that can be set is 89 minutes.  I looked in the config.xml, but didn't see a place where this was configured.

I know there's a feature that extends the recording time for sports recordings, but the forum postings I've seen don't make it seem like you'd want to rely on it for a critical game.  I'd rather configure the recording for a lot of extra time.

Manual recordings are an option, but there's that much more chance for a fat fingered guy to set one up wrong, as I just did with the Rose Bowl.

Is there a way to change the maximum post-padding value so it doesn't max out at 89 minutes?

Hi,

I installed version 5.0.1.191214 (as well as the later version 5.0.1.191224) and found that the IPTV tuning process was broken. see the configuration below, in the previous versions, NextPVR will wait for the executable batch file to finish before starting streaming the source "http://***", in the newer versions, it doesn't wait at all and start streaming immediately right after launching the batch file. this results in an invalid streaming source since the source will not be ready until the batch file finishes the execution. Is it something to do with the .NET core upgrade or something else? Logs will be provided upon request.

I have been using my HD-PVR 2 model 1512 for over 2 years. Its grabs signal from an HDMI splitter (for obvious reasons) which is feed from my STB. It has been working great, until the HD-PVR 2 finally gave up the ghost.

I was able to even stream the signal over the internet (gigabit connection) and not just within my LAN.

So my question is, do I buy another HD-PVR 2 (1080p 30fps) or is there different external or internal HDPVR that is capable of 1080p at 60fps instead of 30fps that compatible with NextPVR?

I have  been looking an so far I keep coming back to the HD-PVR 2.

I was looking at the Hauppage HD-PVR Pro 60HD but it is unclear if it will work with NextPVR.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Need some help with this please. What am I doing wrong? I created the config,recordings & buffer folders in /storage/

Is it possible to have more than one time listed for the automatic EPG update in v5? If so how do you format it? Also is there some way to auto refresh my IPTV m3u list in devices?

So....It seems that all of my channels have been deleted after deleting a channel per this thread: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=60195

I spent about 5 hours mapping channels using Schedules Direct along with an m3u file from my IPTV provider because, frankly, the automatic mapping feature did not work at all for me.

So I deleted an unwanted channel and all channels have disappeared. PLease see the attached. You can see that the groups are still present but my channles are missing.

Any idea on how I can get the channels back, keeping the time I have put into setting them up?

So after posting my question regarding Deleting a channel in the "Edit Channels' window. After closing the deleted channel window, all of my channels had disappeared. Thinking it may be something that could be fixed by a restart, I rebooted my pc. After reboot, the serice for version 5 was no longer active nor even present in my services for Windows. Will have a go at reloading.

Was wondering if the expected behavior of deleting a channel while in the "Edit Channel Details" window was for the window to stay open after the delete key is pressed and answering "yes" for deleting the channel?

Back after a computer crash - finally got around to this...  

And getting back to my HTPC build after a while.  I think I've pretty much decided on a Kodi/NPVR setup for the media server, but find myself in a dilemma when it comes to the IR end of things.

Synopsis - I'm running a Ryzen 5 PC with 2 STBs as my tuners - one for satellite, and one for cable.  I've found that I can control the satellite box via a serial-port connection, so my worries about control conflicts are no longer relevant.  My main issue now is which system - IRSS or EventGhost - is easier to set up and use for running and switching through the various software tasks.

So I'm asking for opinions - what do you use, and why?  And if you use something other than the two I mentioned (the only ones I'm familiar with...) a link would be appreciated, so I can check it out for myself.
