I set up Next PVR on my PC and everything has worked out fine.  I'm able to record future shows through a browser with no issues as well which is the reason why I set this up.  However, things have been very rocky when it comes to the Android app which I use on Nvidia Shield TV and I also tried on my Razer phone with similar issues.  A couple times now, the app couldn't find the server with the majority of the time, it would connect, but MULTIPLE TIMES, and the bigger issue, the app crashes on me after connecting.  And once it crashes once, it just keeps crashing until I either uninstall the app and reinstall or clear the app data.  Exact same things happens with my Razer phone.  I have noticed that it consistently crashes, however, when I specifically change IPTV categories under settings.  It doesn't crash every time I change categories but that's usually when this issue occurs and it happens way too often.  

Another issue I run into with the app is recording.  One time, I'm able to record a show on a specific channel and then minutes later, I can't record on that same channel or even the same show after cancelling the recording with the error stating ' unable to find tuner' or something of that sort.  Once again, on the PC, I haven't had any issues of this nature.  I have the PC on 24/7 with no sleep or hibernate but only the monitor shuts off after a few minutes.  

Otherwise, when working, I find it ideal to watch IPTV and record my favourite shows.  It's a godsend once I get beyond these hiccups.

Also, I was looking to sideload the app which I already purchased onto an Amazon Fire TV 4k stick but how do I go about acquiring the APK since I install it through Google Play store?

Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.

I followed the information here to update the EPG automatically:

I configured each channel to point to the correct xml file.

The xml file gets updated automatically by a batch file scheduled in Windows Task Scheduler.  That part works, I am seeing the xml updated as expected.   If I go to 'Channels' and click 'Update EPG', the EPG gets updated properly so the xml file is ok.

My problem is that when I set the NextPVR 'EPG Update Hour' and check the 'Auto Update EPG' and save the settings, NextPVR does not seem to read the xml file automatically at the hour set.  The whole programming schedule stays empty.

Is there an easy way to fix or troubleshoot this?

i am trying to move from tvheadend to nextpvr. I have all working on my server pc. I can access the web ui on all devices on my network, but no matter what machine im using kodi trys to load the channels but none do. I can see the recordings from the back end in all my kodi devices, i get notifications when recording start and i can play all recordings.

any help would be great.

Hi, I'm a verry happy NextPVR user on Windows x64
It worked amazing except for just one little bug

Version: 5.0.1.191224 gets confused when I choose "keep 3 recordings" when it's recording #4 or higher
It's doesn't delete the older recording and ends up with a broken new recording

On v4 it worked fine

Ability to Import m3u starting at a specific number

Ex. Import a M3u start from channel 3000 so all iptv will begin at channel 3000, 3001 and so forth

note: i've been exporting channel and change replace than import , if i had this option would been nice

    Is it possible to manually map(combine) channels in Nextpvr5 

I'm in the UK and have both DVBT and DVBS signals but some of the channel names vary between the two.
i would like to combine say [BBC One] and [BBC yrks & Lincs]

I've look through all the posts titles in this section of forum and did not find anything regarding my problem.

I'm new to NextPVR, I was using ArgusTV with MediaPortal before, now moving to Emby and NextPVR. Emby was using too much resources to record and I like NextPVR being seperated from Emby server and alos the fast that this software is dedicated to recording and scheduling. 

Enough about me, here is my problem. I seem to be unable to select "Record Season (NEW episodes)" in the Recording types of an item in "Scheduler". When I hit save and go back in it's back to "Record season (All Episodes)".

When I create a new schedule from the TV Guide and go to advanced and choose the Recording Type I want, that works. Then again if I try to modify it from the scheduler section, it does not work, it will stay at what I've choose in the advanced section.

Hi Guys, 

Today I tried to delete all the files in my TV Buffer, and it did not let me delete one file because it says it is open in NextPVR.
However, there is no current open session with Nextpvr as also shown in the screenshot (check the dates).
Any ideas why this is happening?

I tried to install via docker on Libreelec, but not effectively, I was looking for more information about deamon because it causes the server to not start

will I find any step-by-step tutorial here

I have dual TV tuner which makes two device: /dev/dvb/adapter0 and /dev/dvb/adapter1
Should they be automatically visible in Docker and recognized by NextPVR?
I suppose no. Then, how can I make them visible in Docker?

Edit: I've found that I probably I need
--device /dev/dvb:/dev/dvb
I need just to find out how to use it in Portainer
