The growing number of Freeview channels means that on October 18th there are channel number changes on Freeview. If it does not automatically do so, you must re-tune/re-scan your set top box/IDTV on or after October 18th to ensure it recognises the updated channel numbers. *Please do not re-tune/re-scan until after October 18th*
How do I shrink the LiveTV buffer size? Right now, I'm watching football and my current buffer file (for pausing, rewinding, etc) is 4GB! I mean, I don't need to rewind to see the play an hour ago =) Is it possible to limit the buffer to ~10min or something more reasonable than ~2 hours?
TV guide (Zap2It) is out by exactly one hour. ie: Progarms that start at 4PM show as starting one hour early.
Also have Windows Media PC (2004 ver) on this PC and that guide shows correct times.
Have updated EPG manually - no improvement.

I'm using v0.2.1 Beta. I noticed that no .dat files were generated from the
PostProcessing.bat entry.
Running Export manually from inside XRecords works though...
The topic might sound silly, but...
my PVR is connected to my TV for picture and my 5.1 amp for audio. Now the TV is a 100Hz kind and since it does some internal processing to the image it gets delayed slightly, maybe 2/10 of a second, but it's noticealbe. Now obviously the audio and video get out of sync (the amp doesn't add delay). Is there an easy way of adding a customizable amount of audio delay on the computer? (Feature request )
I don't usually run my computer with administrator privledges and i've noticed that many features don't work without them. One is the recording service. It only starts up with the admin account. I think this is what keeps the pause feature from working right. The config program crashes also. Any tips on getting around this? I have changed the security settings on the directory but still no luck.
Certain recordings have a very particular ordering of sound and video causing a bug in Comskip to show up.
It is visible in the log file as black frames with a volume of -1.
The net result is too many black frames detected.
If you are experiencing this please download the latest comskip77.zip from http://mk.kaashoek.com/gbpvr/
Please report if the latest version shows any large amount of volume=-1 on blackframes, I am never sure I realy solve a bug :o
Basically, 'early 2006' the BBC and ITV (jointly) are intending to launch a free-to-air satellite service. One of the main aims is to provide DVB to areas where Freeview is unavailable (and possibly never will be).
The question is this though, anybody know if there are plans to provide extra channels that aren't available (or won't be available) on the current DVB-T Freeview service? I'm currently working towards making my GB-PVR system DVB-T only and I don't really want to find that this time next year, say, I'll need to move to a sat. dish and DVB-S capture cards in order to get all the channels.
Just curious to know if anybody has heard/read anything more than the basic announcements on the BBC and ITV websites.
I am using my reciever to decode AC3 sound for DVDs, I also want to output a PCM version at the same time (so I can use my TV speakers if I want to), is that possible? I can do PCM through both output channels, but AC3 only seems to come out as S/PDIF signal. I can switch between S/PDIF and 2-speaker config in PowerDVD, but I have to do it manually in the config dialog. Any ideas?
