I am using a Hauppage PVR250 card connected via the antenna socket to a cable box. Not using a channel changer for the moment (as its not delivered yet).
I have configured to use the Direct Recording Plugin usined Fixed Channel External Tuner set to constant channel 52 (which is the one WinTV works with - WinTV plays live TV fine and records fine).
GBPVR Live TV works fine but whatever I record just displays the typical wavy lines of an untuned signal - given that Live TV works I cant work out why the recording doesn't.
Dunno how many British GBPVR users are out there but getting inspiration from the Theatre Listings plugin I decided to write one that would show film times / info for Cinemas in the UK.
At the moment it displays times and limited film info but I plan to expand on this. Any bugs / suggestions feel free to post or PM me.

It's called V1.0 but it has only been tested with 2 GBVPR setups so I would consider it a beta version.
Hi, I'm a relatively new GBPVR user. So far I've got things running quite well, just configuring and tayloring things.
Question: I had problems due to multiple installs to different directories so I bit the bullet and un-installed and reistalled to the default directory. After doing so, my old recordings do not show up under the recordings/ready button. The actual recordings are still on my hard drive. Is there a way to have them appear under recordings/ready?

In the settings tab in GBPVR config, I have options like
720*480
480*480
352*480
320*240
Can those be changed, and if so, how? I just wanted 352*240, since 320*240 plays letterboxed on the MVP, forcing me to use 352*480 (which is more than what I need for some shows)

i used those prerelease drivers and it worked great. used to be sound would cut out following a recording, last night with 4 back to back recordings, i had no sound issues. there is a little bit of a rainbow effect at the beginning of a recording, but i don't know if it is driver related or not. but that so far seemed to fix it.
I'm using GBPVR to view DirectTV wired from the DirectTV box (which contains a PVR) through a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 MCE [which comes with no software] running on XP Home. Not certain that I'm doing this optimally, but I've setup only one channel on GBPVR and am actually changing the channel on the DirectTV box using a UHF remote. It works, but I may not be getting the most bang for my buck--any advice appreciated.
My question: I can view the recordings on my DirectTV PVR easily enough on GBPRV (just use the DirectTV remote), but I can't figure out how to CAPTURE those shows onto my computer hard drive using GBPVR. (Essentially move things off my DirectTV PVR and onto my computer hard drive.) Best I can tell, GBPRV can record something that's SCHEDULED, but in my case (especially since GBPVR thinks I only get one channel), I'd have to "dupe" GBPVR by telling it to record something off that channel (that is the same length as the show I want to move off the DirectTV and on to the computer hard drive) and then start viewing the DirectTV PVR at the same time. (And repreat for every show I want to move...!) I'm sure there's a better way...
1) I installed windvd 7 platinum last night. When I play DVD through GBPVR it says that I can't watch this DVD because of parental control.
I have no parental control set up in windvd. I also checked windows media player and no parental control was set up there either.
I can play the DVD's through windvd just fine.
2) Has anyone experienced problems with volari v3 video card during video playback. Everytime I use hardware acceleration(windvd or powerdvd) I get jumpy pictures. When I don't use it it works fine. I am using 9.0b quartz.dll.
Would it be possible in a future edition to be able to set the priority of the mvp server to "above normal" just as has been done for the recording service
I normally use task manager to do this and it pretty much gets rid of all the odd mvp disconnections
but it is not always easy to ensure this has been done if I am not at home when the system is switched on
i wouldn't mind if it was a config option if other people do not want this little work around
