As I mentioned a few weeks back, comcast completely reorganized my cable channel lineup. Once Zap2it made the changes to their lineup info I proceeded to adjust my PVR as well. First, I tried to simply dump the EPG and redownload it. No dice. Many of the channels were completely missing. Next, I deleted and recreated the hauppauge capture device. Still no dice. I tried that several more times unsuccesfully so I succumed to a GB-PVR reinstall. I dumped 94.12, rebooted, deleted the contents of the devnz folder, and then installed and configured 94.13. To my surprised, the TV guide is still screwed up. The same channels are still missing. What gives?
Great tool. I'm surprised at how much better it runs then commercial software I tried.
One feature request: In the Search Guide, when you select a letter and hit right it doesn't update the letter (so if I am looking at "A" and then go to "C" I won't get the shows starting with "C" unless I hit enter). A similar thing happens when looking at different shows. I use a hauppage remote so it can be confusing.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to request a feature for the weather plug in but it would really be nice to be able to see degrees C instead of degrees F.
The images on the images section of the website shows scanning for FM stations but when I go into radio, I don't have such an option (?)
A last feature request -- and a minor one -- is context sensitive help on the control app. There are a lot of options there and searching forums etc. makes it harder to use -- but very powerful.
The tip I read about how to put your sound card out to your hauppage line-in to listen to music/radio on the tv on the forums would be a good addition to the wiki as I'm sure there are people like me who want to do everything through the TV. In fact, a way to run the app without having a window appear onscreen (when one person is using GB-PVR and another is using the computer) would be neat too.
I don't want to come across like I'm blasting the product, I think it's great -- just wanted to share the above ideas/requests. -- Thanks
Other Sundry Items:
One item I have not been able to get working is closed captioning. When outputting live tv or played-back tv there doesn't seem to be closed captioning streams (when I tell my tv to decode them) on programs I know have closed captioning. I don't think this is a GB-PVR thing -- it's most likely a Hauppage Win-TV 350 thing but I was wondering if anybody's seen it.
Does anybody know of a plug-in to display and/or re-map the hauppage remotes. I think the GB-PVR defaults are quite good but I don't want to miss any features/mappings and it would be nice to be able to add shortcuts, etc.

Hi Sub,
Great program!
Would it be possible to allow the Skin.xml file to define the background color for the guide and the fill and border colors for the buttons in the popup description box?
When watching live TV, GB-PVR resets my video overlay adjustments to zero in the ATI Catalyst Control Center. No other application resets these adjustments--UNLESS it is playing back an MPEG-2 captured with GB-PVR! In that case my video overlay adjustments are reset just as they are when watching live TV. Changing the media player makes no difference, and all other MPEG-2 playback is fine! How do I stop my video overlay adjustments from being reset? (Changing to VMR7 or VMR9 makes no difference in this case.)

I emptied my epg but when I checked the tv guide, the listings, which were corrupted, were still there. The epg needed refreshing because some program times had changed & some films had been changed
I recently installed a second MVP. Ever since I have been having alot of problems. Sometime one will work fine and the other will be stuck on conecting to server. Plus it seems to goto conecting to servers alot after the movie/show is over.
When I had 1 it seemed to work great it was wifes idea to buy a second and posible third one.
I set GB-PVR to auto start 2 MVP clients.
I am running GBPVR 94.13 on stand alone machine
Windows XP home P4 2.6 GHz 768MB Ram
Linksys DSLRouter 4 port switch 100 Mbps
On Router / Switch I have DSL line, 2 MVP and 2 Computers. (1 GBPVR 1 for everday use)
Any ideas where to start?
I was watching a live tv show and I hit the record button to record the show.
I then escaped out and went to the tv guide to see if it was listed as being recorded. When I scrolled down to the freeview (DVB) channels, ITV3 and BBC3 were the only ones listed, alternating one another with no tv shows listed.
I restarted recording service and gb-pvr, when i scroll backwards (up) from BBC1 to what should be the last freeview channel, I get "Object not set to an instance of an object".
I have emptied epg and downloaded again (for pvr-350 and nova-t usb2) but this hasn't fixed the problem.
Any ideas?
(This is sooo annoying having finally got everything working perfectly for the 1st time in 2 months) :-(

I am using regular cable with sat receiver through my PVR-150. Sat channels come after 99 on cable and play fine. I move between channels using IR Blaster which sends the channel number to the Sat receiver, it is slow but it works. However, when I schedule a recording, unless the target channel is what is playing on the Sat receiver, GB-PVR will not switch to it and record. It will record whatever coming from the receiver. I have to have the receiver on all the time to record, but if I leave it on the wrong channel, the recording will not work as it would with cable channels. Is there a way around this? Especially that I cannot record programs from more than one channel unless I do a manual switch.
