its been a while since i looked at the code for the news panel or even used it, but recently i turned it on again but the screensaver doesnt work if its on (it just never comes in, well if your on the main menu).
im assuming its to do with the ForceRepaint() call, since i doubt that the news panel would call "DisableScreenSaver()". is there anyway toturn this off (ie would setting the repaint to 1000, ie one second then use the "needsrendering" method as the timer and just return true?, yeah i doubt it).
and since the ticker doesnt work that good (i can live with it thou, if the screensaver can be made to work) how about instead of a ticker (or aswell as the ticker, an option) a news well panel. where one news item is shown at a time in a box (skinnable of course) and every second or so (whole second so isnt using ForceRepaint) the news just switches over, similar to the next recording panel.
Hi All!
I hade no problems with this earlier in gbpvr, but now I donât have any sound with mpg-files (must have messed something up  ) This applies for both DVD and recorded mpegs.
But when I use Power DVD it works Ok!
Is there a way to have the program display the channel information when i use my remote? I see it when I move the mouse.
Also, is there a way to display the channel that I am entering on screen? I have a Media Center Remote with a Media Center Reciever on WinXP SP2 (no issues with functionality besides the info button).
Can someone also check this. It seems strange that the only files infected are the ones I got from the wiki. Is it just luck or is AVG reporting false positive?
These only got detected after my virus definition update today.
I am able to play dvr-ms files (MS Windows Media Center TV recordings) with GBPVR on my computer. However, my MVP unit just resets when trying to play these files. Mpg files play just fine. Anybody have advice for me on how to make these to play on my MVP?
Thanks,
Peter

I'm thinking of a plugin or a capability like net radio that allows you to hear radio streamed, but watch videos that are streamed--like you can link up to VH1 or MTV and watch videos or on AOL and Launch.
In the meantime, anyone know how to save streams or capture on a computer?
a schedule to watch would be handy. sometimes when i'm waiting for a show to begin, i'll end up watching something in the mean time. it would be nice if it would autotune but not record
