I've been using gbpvr and an MVP for a while now and it has been great. Now the MVP keeps disconnecting after about 20 minutes into watching a recorded show.
It started after upgrat\ding to 9413 but I don't think that is the problem. I hav since done a re-install from scratch of 9413 and still has this problem. I'm thinking it might be heat related OR something to do with the Screensaver or something to do with netradio checking the buffer size, - per the last few lines of the gbpvr.exe log below: This is what keeps happening

10/11/2005 8:26:45 PM.430 ERROR [84] MVPWorkerThread - Connection lost, waiting a new one
Ever since I upgraded to the latest, I've had nothing but troubles.
I'd like to share my errors here to see if anyone has had them too.
The recording service always crashes and hoses my mdb. I have to kill it each time. Which leads me to reconfigure my 2 pvr cards (pvr150 and usb2) and then get the guides for each (pain).
What's strange is I get a Data Execution Prevention error upon reboot saying 'Windows Explorer' is being closed. That's after the first crash of gbpvr.
GBPVRRecordingService constantly dies. I then get 'connection refused' on livetv because the process is killed and the mdb lock file still exists. Is there a way to kill all connections to start fresh? Is a reboot the only fix?
By the way, my mdb is 120mb after deleting the file and retreiving my guides.
(cable channels 1-70 on pvr150 , digital channels (about 250) on USB2)
Any and all help is appreciated. When it has worked for me it's great, it's just a bit flakey for me right now. I'm wondering what the source of it is.

XMLTV problems
I've read the threads here an I'm unable to find an answer to my XMLTV problems.
I'm trying to setup SageTV with XMLTV epg, following the instructions found here in several other threads. plugin name is in properties file, classes are in the right location, xerces is available in my JRE.
I enter my zip code as 00000, and select XMLTV as my source, it then asks me to 'please wait' while it contacts the sagetv server. Then it just sits there forever. I can push the left arrow to go back to the zip code page, but I just cant go past this page.
I've tried entering TRIAL when asked for the SageTV Service code, but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Any one got any ideas?

this is way back in 2003, i wonder if using sage is the reason sub made gbpvr... im sure theres a good story there, perhaps we could turn it into a movie, brad pitt could play sub and bruce willis could play the evil ceo of sage (he would have lots of guns...).
I love your plugin and appreciate the work you put into it. I do have one request though.
Is there some way to show on the VA menus how far into the recording the resume point is? In other words, would it possible on the listing of recorded shows to distinguish between shows I have watched all the way through and shows which I got only half-way through and stopped for whatever reason. I'm wondering if the current white text/yellow text listings could be expanded as follows:
shows not watched - white text
shows started but not watched to completion - green text
shows watched to completion - yellow text
This would imply a VA option defining at what point shows would fall into these categories based on their resume point.
I have no idea what would go into this kind of change but I throw it out there as a request. I appreciate the consideration.
example:
day one: xml data import, programm 1 starts show A at 10.00 ...
day two: the station 1 decidet to shift the show A to 10.05, epg update, xml data import (with show A start time 10.05h).
now the gbpvr epg list the show A two times with two diferent start times. at least here in germany this accours often to me (per day). anything i can do to replace the corrected start time in the epg, not to add it as second show ?
I like to restart my Max-10 remote-program after a stand-by, because it isn't working then.
Is it possible to restart it in wake.cmd (something like: Restart c:\utilitie\max10.exe ?)
or do i have to make a macro in macro-express?
I hope someone can help me.
I recently started using GBPVR after installing PVR-150.
System Info :
windows XP SP2
powerdvd
media player 10
Issues :
1) I can't play encrypted DVD's via GBPVR. I can't play them using windows media player either. I can play them fine with powerDVD though. I am using cyberlink for video decoder as well as audio decoder in GBPVR configuration.
Does GBPVR really take video and audio decoder information from the configuration setup or does it just use the windows media player codec information ? If that is the case I should change windows media player's dvd codec and not GBPVR's configuration. Do you know how to do that ?
2) irremote.ini := I tried to program the GO button to start GBPVR.EXE as follows:
GO={run(c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}
when I press the GO button it says "can't find C:\program"
I changed it to GO={run(c:\progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}
but it still says the same thing. I restart IR everytime I change the file.
3) If I get the DVD playback going with GBPVR I would like to use s/pdif out too. I can use that from powerdvd right now.
Can someone help explain what the following errors mean and how to correct them. I can not get the VApanel to display anything in the latest release 94.13 (it was working in the prior release).

OK, I finally was able to reproduce the bug. I thought it was due to the latest version, but I was able to manually reproduce in 0.93.10
Here's what happens. If you switch channels back and forth when watching live TV (on the MVP in my case, haven't tried to reproduce on the PC, but I can if Sub needs to)
When you watch the 3rd or 4th channel you end up on, you let it play, and after a while, the MVP shows a black screen, for a couple of seconds, until your video returns. At this stage, if you press the blue button, you see in the progress bar at the top that your current recording is now 30 seconds long. The 30 seconds play fine, then the MVP playback stops again, and we start over for another 30 seconds
I have attached the logs. The problem happened while trying to watch "Whose line is it anyway" around 8:48 PM and again 9:04PM on Oct 10
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
I believe the culprit is around this section of gbpvrrecordingservice.log

By the way, I have the exact same behavior in the latest version, which was what prompted me to fallback to 0.93.10 originally.
