My Xcard remote broke down, and a new one will set me back 45 Euro incl. s+h (about 60 $). I wonder if I can program one of my other (programmable) remotes for GB PVR/Xcard.Is there a brand (Philips,Sony etc.etc.) and type IR code similar to the IR codes used in the Xcard/GB/PVR?

ok it seems that when i installed the new gb-pvr that the do not record duplicate recordings seems to have stopped working. I use zap2it and i had it working before i updated for a week lol. Now it started recording duplicates even when in the config it has the box checked not to.
In the latest version this seems to have stopped working. Has support for this been removed? Works OK for MPG and DIVX files. Is this a known problem? I tried searching for it and found a couple of posts but seems not to have been answered. Any ideas?
Is it possible to run a command/program/batch file when GBPVR exits?
The reason is I use meedio (or, am currently...may change) as my main interface with GBPVR as my PVR/TV app. What I need to do is autoswitch girder groups when I load GBPVR and when I leave it. I can do it by running a commandline execute of girder (for a specific command) to do it when I open GBPVR, but I need a way to switch back to the meedio keyset when I switch back.
(BTW, I tried the 'on focus' methods of using girder, but it doesnt work correctly with my remote - a PCTV remote)

In the past I have attempted to use the PVR-350 TV-OUT with SageTV and GBPVR, and the picture was much better than using a software decoder and the TV-OUT on an Nvidia/ATI card. The problem is that using the output on the PVR-350 causes my machine to lockup often, and I know others have this same problem as well. My question is what other hardware decoders exist that work well with GBPVR? How's the XCard? I would like to have my main server connected to one television while other televisions in the house will be using Media MVP units. Also if there are no other good hardware decoders, what inexpensive video cards do you recommend? I've tried a couple of Nvidia cards, but the quality was just not there. With the PVR-350 the picture was just as good as hooking my cable box directly to the television. Will a good video card w/ TV-OUT and a good software decoder give me this type of picture?
Nearly there, but noting that when GB-PVR is not the active window the remote does not work. If I come back from TV room to PC room and look I can see that the remote arrows are being applied to which desktop icon is selected. That is the desktop had the focus not GB-PVR.
Even without a separate person using the PC (which is a scenario I need to cover off), I have find the Video Library sometime triggers (e.g. after selecting an AVI file to play) a change in what has focus, i.e. GB-PVR window loses the focus.
QUESTION: Just need a way to direct remote control key presses directly to GB-PVR rather than the active window? Anyone know how to do this? (I'm very close now :p )
Notes:
- Using 2005 MCE Remote, with downloaded drivers (i.e. I have XP Home)
- I am still running GB-PVR in windowed mode (as I haven't got to setting up the shortcuts yet to launch in non-windowed mode onto secondary screen). Not sure if this is significant.
Anyone get this to work? I was trying to set up being able to turn subtitles on/off (I had it set up to do even w/o focus) via remote, and it doesn't seem to work.
I went into Capture Sources and REMOVEd a channel since I didn't want it to show up under the TV GUIDE, but that didn't seem to remove it from the listing. So I tried to add it back, but it behaves weird and is listed at the end in the TV GUIDE.
I just want to restore the channel listing to the original at the install time. How can I do that?
Also how can I remove a channel that I never watch from showing up in the TV GUIDE listing?
When you have the GBPVRConvert set to run ASAP and you have back to back recordings scheduled the process doesn't work because it tries to run GBPVRConvert on the second recording instead of the first. Log file details these events

I'm working on the weather section now of the PM3 skin. I need some help here.
I need some help with how to display 4 days (IE- Today/Mon [can start with Today or Next day and then on.], Tues, Wed, Thurs.) Horizontally, instead of Vertically. I've chased up and down the xml file, but don't see it as anything much changeable other then spacing, and positioning, but not really configurable to display in a horizontal format. Is this not possible currently? If not, are there plans to do this? (*Crossing my fingers REAL hard*)
I really hope so, or the weather section will never work with the way i'm doing the PM3 skin.
