I had two DVB-T recordings finish at the same time (not sure if that is a factor). I have dvr-ms set as my BDA muxer option and auto-convert to mpeg2 also set. I got a popup box with an error (I've seen this once before).
The GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log shows...

The GBPVRConvert.exe-native.log shows no errors and it looks like the transcode actually did take place as I have a playable mpg file in the folder but the dvr-ms file wasn't deleted.
When I use the XMEDIA Skin (exellent work BTW!) I get an error trying to access my music. It loads the plugin and then gives an error.
I am running a mapped network drive as my music source directory.
For some reason it works no problem at all in BlueMCE2 (but that skin is impossible to read on my old CRT 26" TV).
Thanks in advance. I have to reboot the pc due to a different problem of the MVP dropping the connection and gvpbr.exe running at 98% CPU until reboot. I will post the specific error when I can reconnect.
I got this weird error that I can't seem to fix. If you take a look at my attachment (a Screenshot of the error). I get this when I press record or when I schedule a recording. Only get the error when it actually starts the recording. If I cancel it asks to retry and it starts recording the show. But I can't cancel it. Or I can't stop it.
I have a PVR150 card and everything else works fine. I can pause live TV no problem.
Perhaps I'm missing something somewhere...but I think I've tried all of the different plugin players for mp3 playing and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. If I did miss something, I apologize in advance.
My current setup has my music broken up by artist in physical folders. All mp3 tags are correct, so if I use something like Winamp or Windows player, it correctly lists the music by artist, album or song. I can then select to play at any level, i.e. I can play all songs by an artist, a single album or a single song.
With music player for gbpvr, this is the closest I have seen. If I physically split up all my songs in sub-folders by artist, album and song - it will work similar to this, but I wanted to see if there were any other options out there to let gbpvr do the work (like winamp or mediaplayer) so it gets this info from the tags and then lists them out appropriately and displays them in the above mentioned way.
Thanks! I'm looking at other methods of physically organizing them on disk, but wanted to see if something was out there to do this by mp3 tag.
I'm having an issue that I could use some help with. I just set up a dual monitor system on my GBPVR computer. I have an ATI Radeon X300 series video card with a Dell flat panel monitor on the VGA out (primary monitor) and a Old Sony Multiscan 15sf on the DVI port through a DVI to VGA cable (secondary monitor).
I can watch captured shows just fine on both monitors and the interface looks fine on both monitors. However, I can't get live TV on the secondary (Sony) monitor. The GBPVR window is simply black with no audio on the secondary monitor. If I start live TV on my primary monitor, I can move the window halfway between the two monitors and see half of the tv show and half a black window. If I start live tv on the secondary monitor, it will simply show black (and no audio) until I hit escape and restart it on the primary monitor even if I drag the window back to the primary monitor.
The live TV is coming from a Hauppauge WinPVR 250. Im stymied given that it doesnt seem to be purely a video problem since there is no audio as well. Any ideas? Would any log files be helpful for a diagnostic?
Would like to use GBPVR as video streaming front end for the Hauppauge MVP.
Perhaps at some point I will upgrade my Leadtek TV2000 to Hauppauges 150. However for now I would like to store my "backed-up'd" DVD'S on a server, and stream them to a TV using a wired ethernet connection.
I plan to download GBPVR this week, however I thought I would ask the question..............will GBPVR work as I described above without a supported MPEG2 hardware based TV.
I have looked everywhere for an option to play audio cdroms and can't seem to find one anywhere. Is it possible to do so from within GBPVR? Having to go load another program is not a practical solution for my partner :<
I've seen various threads about connecting an MVP by wireless, but haven't seen one specifically dealing with my present situation.
I've gone from a house completed wired to a rented house with no wired connections (Except ADSL to the Internet). Very sad as I have to keep my drill under wraps. Present setup is:
- GBPVR server in the living room.
- MVP in the bedroom.
- my PC and Linux server (wired network) with Internet access in the study.
I need to connect these three wirelessly to:
- permit the GBPVR server to connect to the Internet for 'normal' GBPVR related activity (updating tv listings, album covers, etc.).
- permit the use of the MVP (i.e. to access the GBPVR server).
What would your recommendations be for the three pieces of wireless kit I would need to get this working? I assume I can use a PCI wireless card for the GBPVR server, but am not sure at all what I need for the network (hardware and network config settings) in my study (would a normal wireless router do the trick?) nor the MVP (an access point or bridge or router?)
I assume 54g hardware would do the trick, but was wondering if the new MIMO enabled hardware would be better.
The comskip 0.77 default ini file has default the mpgtx output format enabled.
This does not make sense for most users so, unless you want to run mpgtx without comclean (you don't if you don't know what this means) please change the to the following setting in comskip.ini
output_mpgtx=0
This will effectively stops comskip from creating the .bat file, so sub does not have to add .bat to the default files to delete :o
