I have a couple of Q's wrt the Config Setup for Quality Profiles
1. Is it by design that the Quality Profile Settings cannot be changed from e.g. Medium Quality to LiveTV Profile after the 1st Setup?
In config, when I select any profile other than medium and click OK, OK and restart the recording Service, then go back into config it has changed back to medium quality.
I can change the settings WITHIN the medium quality e.g. MPEG4 to MPEG2, but it won't save any selection of a new profile. Can this ONLY be set up on first configuration?
2. For each device, is it by design that if you change the setting within the profile for one source within that device (e.g. antenna) e.g. MPEG4 to MPEG2, that this setting is automatically applied to the second source (e.g. S-Video) for that same device, as this is what I am seeing when I change the setting.
Cheers,
k.
Just wondering if the Cyberlink remote (the one come with any non ATI 550 Elite) is supported in gbpvr? I tried using it as an MCE remote and it seems like everything worked except some advance function and the BACK button doesn't work which creates a lot of problem trying to get out of the TV Guide Screen. Can you also consider creating a BACK button in that menu?
I have recently bought a Haupauge 150 and have been trying for the past 4 hours to set it up so that GB-PVR can change the channel on the Bell Express Vu unit.
I also cannot get the Hauppauge remote to work. The remote connects to the Hauppauge card and is not USB.
Any Guidance would be great.
Setup:
GB-PVR
Hauppauge 150mce
Althon XP 2400+
Windows XP Pro SP2
ATI Radeon 9600 (128mb)
ASUS A7V8X-X MB
512 MB of RAM
Is it by design that when I'm tying in a channel (ie 422) that I don't see anything? I'm wondering if you just have to guess or hope it's right.
I ask because when I type in a channel in gbpvr on my computer I can see the channel info an the channel number coming up on a lower screen banner while I type it in. I have zero channel number info display in the MVP.
Hi, The last few weeks i've been in the process of putting together my own htpc. I've spend a few weeks on these boards looking for answers and new ideas. I really love how gbpvr works compared to the competition.
I managed to get this far on my own, but now i feel i need some help.
The topic title says it all i think, whenever a camera pans you see a u stutter in the movement, and the picture gets blurred. I tested with a few codecs today when a footballmatch was on. (Intervideo, nero, cyberlink, nvidia, elecard dscaler5 etc.)The best results i got were with dscaler5 (bit blurry) and nvidia.Same with recordings and on monitor and tv.
Nvidia is great for 10 seconds, then it goes to jerky video mode and back to great quality ? and on and on and on.
Dscaler4 produces very watchable smooth panning video.
Setup:
Amd 2600
768 mb DDR
Radeon 9600 pro (omega drivers) normal 16:9 connected to tvout
160GB seagate barracuda
Win xp pro + sp2
I'm having a little problem with DVD playback. I have powerdvd 6 installed and that works fine for playing dvds, but when I play from GBPVR, the picture is like semi scrambled and sounds is very choppy.
I've tried using different decoders for the dvd, including the cyberlink ones for both video and audio, but the same thing happens. Not sure what to try next, any suggestions? Thanks
