First thing: GB-PVR is cool and has replaced the Programme "myHTPC" and other stuff with easyness.
I have to thank the "Father/Mother" of GB-PVR and all other people, who are developing Plugins... :p
So, but now i have another "little" Problem. I installed the Plugin "RSS-Feader" in the latest Version... install and configuration wasn't a problem. The first problem i had, was to get the running Text in the Main-Menu, bit i solved this.
Now i have a Problem, that the screen is flashing sometimes (~20 seconds between flashing) since i used the running text in the main menu.
Has someone an idea what it could be? It's not nice to look...
I've got HIP configured to work with GBPVR and have recored the IR code from my SKY decoder box/remote. these have been mapped to my MCE 2005 remote and I can use this remote to change the channel on my sky box in Live TV.
Question
If I set up a recording for 3:00am for channel 11 (SKY Sports2) via the TV guide, and that night we watched a film on channel 21 then went to sleep, will GBPVR change channel prior the recording starts.
I have capture set-up as an external tuner on s-video in on a 150.
If is there anything special I need do do in the channel changer set-up ?

I've been looking to improve my mpeg playback quality for sometime. something I discovered is that even if you set the "relevant" registry settings in the registry the MPEG Quality with the InterVideo Decoder is still never as good as it is within Intervideo.
Here's what I did to resolve this:
I set it so I was getting everything peak in Intervideo WinDVD (I'd imagine it'd be the same in Any App)
(each one at a time, I did all of them to be safe)
I then imported the reg file into these areas.
and now without changing anything my video quality is identical to that of InterVideo WinDVD, but my processor load on all mpeg2 based applications went from between 20-30% to 8-17%.
Now, I had already tried each of the above settings individually within the registry at each of the above registry keys, it improved processor load and improved the quality a good bit, but never as good as it was in WinDVD.
The export/import of that entire Key is what finally made the two identical.
This worked on both my PVR using dedicated TV output and on my regular computer using both the primary and secondary displays.
I have observed that the VMR9 display mode is not keeping the original aspect ratio on DVD playback, and instead is streching the image to full-screen.
My preferred video/audio decoders are Intervideo and have set their merit to be the default prefered decoders (proven with GSpot), and set gbpvr to "System Default" for all playback and DVD choices, and selected VMR9. With this configuration, gbpvr is not preserving the DVD original aspect ratio. I also get the same result if I use the Cyberlink decoders.
Using Graphedit I have proven the default VMR9 renderer is outputing the correct aspect ratio to the default player. This applies to both the Intervideo decoder and the Cyberlink decoder. I have also observed that if you change the gbpvr configuration from VMR9 to Overlay mode, then the original aspect ratio is preserved in Overlay mode. This leads me to believe something is wrong with the gbpvr VMR9 display mode.
occasionally, when playing back a recording, it shows me a duration of only twelve seconds in the progress-bar, but it actually has a duration of 66 minutes. It would play fine until the end (the full 66 minutes), but if i use my remote to skip/pause/ffwd etc., i'm "caught" between the beginning (second 0) and second 12.
The file plays fine in other apps like zoom player or windows media player, the problem only occurs when playing back with gbpvr. The file is recorded and decoded with my pvr350, maybe this is the problem, because zoom player or wmp don't utilize the card for playback. Here are some parts of my GBPVR.exe.log:

As I said, it happens randomly, and I cannot find a particular reason for it. I use the latest drivers from hauppauge for the tv-card.
I have a second pvr150mce tuner in the mail and was wondering if I need to do anything special with gbpvr to get the second tuner recognized and working? From what ive read all I do is add another capture source for the second tuner? I know its a noob question and if there is another post dealing with installing a second tuner plz point me in the right direction. thx.
Running latest version of Gbpvr (94.13), with pvr250, winxp sp2, AMD64, Vinyl AC97 audio.
I have no audio in live tv, DVD play back and anything recorded new. All my old recordings and music have audio. I used to have these settings:
Video Decoder: NVIDIA video decoder
Audio Decoder: NVIDIA audio Decoder
Audio Renderer: System Default
VMR9
and it used to work. I have tried every combination of choices available and still no audio, and sometimes depending on the choices the video is real choppy.
Audio works fine outside of GBPVR including DVD's using NVDVD.
I have installed all drivers from hauppauge including the mpeg decoder, to no avail.
Like many others I store my music collection in Flac format. I would like to play my flac files using GBPVR. Has anyone had any luck getting flac to work with GBPVR?
