I'm updating EPG from schedule calling "gbpvr -OnlyUpdateEPG", but this is annoying if I happen to watch recording the "Update EPG" window pops up when it finishes after few seconds everything is normal then, but still... Is there any option to hide this window?
I was reading the specs on HD receivers, and they mentioned output all the way down to 480i. So I figured that they would work on my 36"JVC the same as my DVD player. I went to Comcast and picked up a HD Cable Box. I hooked it up with SVideo cable, and went straight to the HD Channels. They cam in fine, and looked pretty good. Then by fumbling around, I found if you hit the menu button on the box itself while it is still turned OFF, a menu will show up on the TV. You can set the output for 16:9, 4:3 letterbox, 4:3 Pan&Scan. I put it on 4:3 letterbox. There was also a setting for output of 480i,480p,.....
If you have it set to 4:3 letterbox;
Widescreen shows are perfect.
Fullscreen shows have a box around all 4 sides. (but still look correct)
If you have it set to 4:3 Pan&Scan;
Widescreen shows are cropped (left and right are missing)
Full screen shows are perfect.
The problem is, I haven't found a way to change it by the remote. You have to turn it off, and go into the menu from the box itself.
Once I figure out how to get GBPVR to tune the new HD Cable box, I will try recording directly from it. I am currently using girder and a serial cable for my current box, the new one has everything but serial. Ethernet,USB,firewire, an IR blaster jack... I'd love to get info on all of it!
I am running MCE 2005, Twinhan SAT CI with the latest BDA drivers, when I set the Capture source as Twinhan DVB-S (choose the satellite etc), select EPG source as DVB EPG Broadcast then select Map Digital Channels to EPG.
I then get the tuning screen it searches for through the transponders and just after it looks at the first transponder I get an error message:-
Unhandled exception with the following details:-

Can anyone help as I would really like to try this software.
I've searched the posts and seen some explanations to the this problem, but none seem to work for me. I use zap2it.
i have changed the number of days in the epg settings to 14, but i still only see 5 days worth of listings.
i know zap2it will expire, i'd like to use xmltv, but i have no idea how to start with that. i am not at all familiar with writing code or manipulating configs.
Any help extending the listings, or where to start regarding non-zap2it guides?
I just ran into a problem with the GBPVRRecordingService.exe where it throws an exception that cannot be handled. This seems to be occuring when it is trying to record something I setup to record right now. I'm recording a show from 9:30 pm to 10:00pm as a test and after the first minute of recording, I ran into this exception and have not been able to restart the service without this exception being thrown.
Is there a JIT Debugger I can install to look at this in more detail?
After installing Hauppauge's latest beta driver (2.0.35.23257) for my PVR 150 I am getting poor sound quality on LIVE TV. Recorded sound seems to be ok. I have installed the latest GB-PVR version. The old version behaved similarly.
I have no problems with WinTV 2000 live play back.
I need to get pointed in the right direction to start creating a plugin for XPL integration into GB-PVR. I want to create a plugin that allows On Screen Display. My Apologies if I am in the wrong section.
