i just got a pvr500. i had some major issues with installing the drivers... found that uninstalling zonealarm, installing drivers, then re-installing zonealarm worked. i got the card working great. my only problem is that when i record a show and try to play it back through media player (default player when double clicked through explorer) there is no sound. but if i take the same file, burn it to disc, it plays fine on my dvd player... any ideas?
sub if you go to the tv guide, and say channels 1-7 are showing and you push "8" and then "ok" you are taken to channel 8 but still only channels 1-7 are shown, this is constant with any channels eg if you are on 31-37 and push 38 and ok, channels 31-37 are still the visible set.
My TV has a built in programming guide and it has one feature I miss within gbpvr's guide. You can toggle the guide so that it shows all upcoming shows on the current highlighted channel, changing it from being time-centric (showing all programs that start at a particular time) to being channel-centric (showing all programs coming up on a particular channel). So for instance, I can be looking at all the shows starting at 8 pm, highlight a channel, click the info button on my remote and see all programs on that specific channel for the next day or so.
I'd love to see this in gbpvr's standard guide and the Web Admin guide. I like to record a lot of classics off Turner Classic Movies since many of the movies are hard to find and all commercial free, so I frequently check it to see what's coming up for a particular day. In the current guide that's not so easy since you have to scroll, scroll, scroll...
Feature Request #2
One feature that titantv.com's guide has that I love is the ability to see all upcoming airings of the highlighted program. So for instance, when you go to schedule a recording only to be told you have a conflict, you can quickly see the upcoming re-airings of the highlighted program and decide whether you want to schedule a later airing to be recorded. It's also nice if you realize you missed a show (or the start of it when you're looking in the guide and go, "Oh crap! I forgot to record that!").
I need help in doing this. i'm at a loss. VideoLan doesn't work for me to watch a program on-line. Any other programs let me do this? I just need a dummy's guide to watch recordings online!
has anyone worked with this combo or familiar with the wavit? It's basically a multi function device which i have used as a wireless bridge with my audrey so i know it works. Here's what i have tried:
connected mvp to router and picked up an ip
configured wavit as wireless bridge with same ip that mvp picked up
added both mac's to ap mac table
not working. is there anything special i need to do to the mvp?
Every time I restart my machine, I get an 'installing' popup window, and then the capture source is gone in GBPVR. I've completely uninstalled, and reinstalled, with the same result. It's been doing this since I upgraded to 93.10
sub...I noticed yesterday with the 93.10 release and as well in this 94.8 release that my video on the GBPVR windows interface has a large black line at the bottom. I have cycled through the dipslay modes with F7 but it still stays there.
I don't ever remember seeing this prior to the 93.10 release.
I just downloaded and installed the new version of XGuide so that I could enable the "Watch" function. However, every time I choose Watch, I get the following error:
Error:Method Not Found: Void GBPVR.Public.IpluginHelper.StartLiveTV
(GBPVR.Public.Channel)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bill
