  pvr2000 pal version
Posted by: ellias - 2005-08-21, 12:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hey guys (and specifically sub)

All I can say is wow, looks like a great program that I wish I coudl get working. I've read and checked and searched and wikied but can't find a solution to my problem.

Running a PVR2000 as my capture, ati 9250 as my vid card. Whenever I try for live tv I get the dreaded "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error. I tried creating my own pvr2000 reference in the direct.ini from the details I found @ http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:VhBfw...=firefox-a
but I didn't have any success. I even changed the driver references to (PAL) as some of mine are labelled in device manager but then got a warming about drivers not being installed. I hope someone can help me out, I'm dying to get this working.

I think this is the relevant part of the log:

  Videolan
Posted by: mhj.vermeer - 2005-08-21, 08:00 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

I installed videolan to see my recorded tv programs over the internet. This is because I'm away from home a lot.

The problem is that VLC starts playing the program and stops after a few seconds. Sometimes I can watch a show a little bit longer, but about 99 percent of the time it stops almost immediately.

Help! Will not tune in channels.
Posted by: rephil - 2005-08-21, 04:33 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

I have a WinTV-PVR-150MCE and all loaded fine. However, when I try to run the GB-PVR Config. to tune channels, the program shuts down. I'm selecting "Capture Sources" and choosing "OK". Is this correct? Sad

Posted by: scottmso - 2005-08-21, 02:30 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have a GB-PVR system (in my sig.) It runs pretty fine. However when I pause it after a couple of minutes sometimes it takes a while to pause (sometiems from 30 sec-5 minutes.) Is this normal, or is there a way to fix it? Thanks

  DVD2MPEG on 16:9 movies???
Posted by: SLGF2A - 2005-08-20, 08:49 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

When I use DVD2MPEG on movies in 16:9, the resulting mpegs do not appear to be 16:9. Instead, the mpeg picture appears to be stretched vertically, and perhaps horizontally as well (the result is comically distorted actors). 4:3 movies look fine.

Is there a command line setting that I am missing to get the mpegs to retain there 16:9 picture? I am using the default command lines at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated

  Overwriting recordings each time?
Posted by: rgrenfell - 2005-08-20, 08:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi

I'm just getting started with GBPVR. So far it looks good, but I have come across a problem. I suspect its to do with my config as I cannot find any other post about it.

I don't have any other plugins and I just want to use the normal recording manager to keep recording Eastenders (don't ask - it gets me brownie points!) and a few other programs.

So far, I set up to record all Eastenders on BBC1 and I see all instances pending. Unfortunately (for me!) only the last recording is kept. How do I ensure they are all kept?

Thanks

Richard
