Is the video capture facility of the Theatrix 550 card supported by GBPVR?
If so can I set any 1 of the 3 bitrate encoding values that are available in PowerCinema?
I am having all kinds of problems with the scheduler dropping shows. Its fairly simple to recreate.
Go into the TV Guide, select some shows for a one-time record over the next week. Exit and look at the "Pending" list. They all show up correctly. Now, go back to the TV guide and select a show for WEEKLY recording BEFORE one of the one-time shows. Exit and go look at the "Pending" list. The first show of hte WEEKLY re-occuring show will not appear in the "Pending" list, nor will it be recorded. Subsequent shows show up in the "Pending" list, but not the original show you clicked on for reoccuring recording.
I have verified this over the last few days, I don't think my setup is anything out of the oridinary... I have the latest GBPVR 09310 and a Hauppage PVR-350. At first I just upgraded GBPVR, but after I had all this scheduling problems, I re-installed gbpvr from scratch. I still have the same problems.
Is there a size limit on the number of scheduled recordings that is wrapping? I do have ALOT of scheduled recordings. The "Record Once" schedules always seem to work fine, but the "Weekly This Time Slot" recordings don't seem to be as stable.
If any of this is unclear, I'd be happy to explain it. I did look through the logs but didn't see anything related to the scheduler, only recording attempts.
My wife was scanning though the Guide today and hit a channel that she wanted to watch. The program was in progress and when she hit "OK" it only gave her the Exit option ---there was no option to watch. I told her that she could go to the next program on the channel and select it and she would get the Watch option.
This raised the question of why the Guide does not allow Watching a program already in progress.
First off, I really like all the little touches on the MVP in the new release - getting rid of those crappy pause/ play icons makes it look seamless and the screensaver has been a personal wishlist item for a while. Cool.
However, when I play an .avi file over the MVP the screensaver kicks in after about 10mins(?) then takes me back to the main menu when I press a button on the remote.
I tried it twice with the same result. Does the Trans2MVP include some sort of screensaver=false?
Not a biggie, as I don't have that many avi's on my machine and I can always turn the screensaver off in the config if it bugs me, but I wondered if anyone else has the same problem...?
is there a way to automatically disable the xcard filters just for the second a mpeg file is started on my desktop in winamp? manually it works without having any problems.
First, I'd like to say thanks to the people who created GBPVR. My wife and I use it everyday and love the movies we record.
I downloaded DVD Decrypter yesterday, and I'd like to make sure the one I downloaded hasn't been altered or contaminated by 'anti backup' organizations. Is there an md5sum or some other way I could check the integrity of my download?
Each time I restart my system, as it's shutting down, I get a quick error message that I don't even have time to see completely. It says something like GBPVR.EXE-DLL INIALIZATION ERROR" AND I hear the Windows error sound and then my system reboots. I've uninstalled a few times even a fresh install and it still happens. I don't think it's effected it's operation as far as I can tell. Just curious as to why this happens and how to stop it if possible.
I was playing around with TVedia for some time but was not really convinced about this software package. But one feature was very nice in the TVedia package that might be good to implement into GBPVR going forward.
Situation:
I am using a Digital Cable settop box for the HBO channels. These channels can not be recorded through my PVR250 tuner card unless I go through the composite input straight from the box. But most of the time I like to record the standard channels. This can be done while watching something else on the TV which is the purpose of the PVR system. So most of the time the setup is using the "Cable Tuner" in the Config Program. Only when I like to record HBO I need to go into the Config Program and change the input manually to "Composite".
In TVedia one was able to tell the program which input each channel was suppose to use; i.e. HBO is recorded using the composite input. So one had not to worry about switching manually when recording digital cable from the settop box (you only have to remember to leave the settop box on that channel you like to record).
I'm sure I am being really thick here, but how do I add an image to a folder? My directory structure has folders like videos/movies, video/certificate U, Music/Alans Music/Artist/Album, etc.
Album art works fine but I can't seem to add an image at the "Alans Music" level or "Movies" level. I've added the image, called it folder.jpg, sized it at 300x300, 192x192, restarted gbpvr.... without any luck (only thing I haven't tried is as a .png, but this shouldn't matter, should it?)
I'm probably missing something very obvious - anyone want to help me out?
