  Update to gbpvr09310.msi
Posted by: surveyor - 2005-08-20, 01:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,
I have tried to update my gbpvr09309.msi-version to the new 09310 (latest version) but it deletes all my settings for my Hauppauge. I have tried to restore the config.xml and the gbpvr.mdb but it does not work. Now I'm back on 09309 from a backup.

Is there a way to update to the new version?

  [09310] Recording service shutting down?!
Posted by: venger - 2005-08-20, 09:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hey Sub,

If you don't mind, just thought i start a new thread for this weird problem i am having. As per my previous posts, when i had 09211 installed, i had no issues with recording - with hibernation used.

However, after 09310 install (and i am not sure whether or not its to do with gbpvr), i find that i am missing recordings coz:
(1) recording service dies or shuts down for some strange reason
(2) zero-byte files

Sadly, i stuffed again with my loggin setting.. so my logs are again very brief Sad
I think the service died right after the last log.
.. and as per the logs below, it looks like there is an error due to 'expired lease' ?

what does 'expired lease' mean?

A Few Minor Problems and Questions
Posted by: mas0nite - 2005-08-20, 05:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

1) After I record a show I go into my recordings and click on the one I want to watch and then select play. But when I do this nothing happens, the menu that lets me select (play delete or cancel ) just goes away and nothing plays.

2) When I am in LiveTV mode I want to be able to rewind. From what I gathered I need to be in "Timeshifting mode". So I Press the pause button and then it says something like "going into timeshifting mode, please wait" or something similar. It just stays on this screen and nothing happens.

3)Do you need to be in "Timeshifting mode" to be able to pause rewind LiveTV?

I have a pvr-250 card on an AMD Athlon XP 2600+...Thanks for the help in advance...everyone is awesome on these forums.

Has anyone got this device to work with gbpvr? I picked it up at buy.com for a $10 credit after mail in rebate and a $30 credit for signing up for a credit card.

XRecord find character set does not include &

Would it be possible to add a '&' to the characters XRecord accepts in the search text box?
I now have to manually add & to the XML file (which works so no real hurry)

  Red eye serial
Posted by: chubbychaser - 2005-08-19, 07:47 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Hi,

Can someone please clarify the steps needed to set up channel changing for a Pace ditv4001 box using the red eye serial connected to com1. Should I use redeye.exe or redeye2.exe? What string should I use with it. Tried both executables with ".{channel}" and no joy.

I tried the demo program and it worked fine so I know hardware is ok.

Any help appreciated

  Hauppauge tweak tool settings.
Posted by: allsighs - 2005-08-19, 07:13 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Given the large number of Hauppauge users here I was curious of those of you who use the Hauppauge Tweak Tool, what your optimized settings are. Most people on other sites I ahve seen post are settings based on a digital source captured through S-Video. I am using the analogue coaxial (very clean crisp signal) and I was wondering what settings are used by others with a similar set up.
