It seems an easy to make and obvious application/plugin for GBPVR
I realize that in order for it to work correctly I would need to leave it on all the time. Which would be no problem. Actually there would be no way I would turn it off. The wife wouldn't let me.
It was done to be funny (I hope the thread originator thought so). But it got me thinking. Just for fun what is/could be the most useless, pointless, stupid, or foolish plugin's we can think of.
Can anyone tell me what happens after 10pm PST to the GBPVR web? I only get to work on GB at night but it is impossible to use the forums, wiki at all most of the time. Is it me?
I have may troubles with LivePreview in VMR9 or VMR7. The only way to get it working is using Overlay, which is what i could see very much faster than the other 2 modes.
The only Problem with that is, that i can't switch the Aspect Ratio in Overlay-Mode when I watch e.g. a DivX movie with cut black bars.
Is it possible to implement the Aspect Ratio change for Overlay mode, or will I have to try get LivePreview Working in VMR9? (Btw.. any hint in this direction would be great )
I recently installed GBPVR and intially it worked fine. but, i had cofigured it wrong, couldnt change the channel. I've rectified that issue but now all i get is a white screen with vertical black bars and one channel that works.
any suggestions?
IBM 300PL PIII 600MHZ 196 M Ram, PVR 150, XFX GeForce 5200, 20 GIG HD.
I originally installed GPVR with the stock generic AGP vid card. Install went smooth, everything worked. Live TV was too choppy to be watchable but recordings I made with GPVR looked fine with Windows Media Player.
Just installed the GeForce FX5200 and live TV is now very watchable. Timeshift works fine also. Channel change takes about 3 seconds, new channel has herringbone distortion for a few seconds then clears. Stuttering is worst on channels which have some kind of text crawl (CNN etc) on the screen.
Testing so far has been on the computer monitor only. I have cabling, furniture, girlfriend issues to work out this weekend in order to get the computer hooked to the TV.
This is a temporary setup for me (ordering new mobo, CPU, memory next month), but the fact that GPVR is useable on a system that is a little over half of the minimum reccomended shows the quality of the software.
I just got a Sapphire 550 and i'm suddenly experiencing random system freezes. I don't have any idea what to do. If I uninstall the drivers, the system seems to work fine. Any help is really appreciated.

Again, any and all help/ideas is appreciated. TIA.
I thought I'd share a strange condition I noticed. In my attempt to fix some other problem, I have installed CyberLink PowerCinema 4 (came with my TUL ATI 550).
After installing this software, it took between 1min 20sec and 2min between starting GBPVR's GUI until it actually appeared .
During the 1-2 minute delay until the GUI appeared, I saw the icon of Ogg Direct Show Filter appear in the system tray, and it disappeared exactly as the GUI appeared finally.
I could not find a separate process for the OggDS, and the logs did not mention anything interesting.
I don't know if this condition is localized (i.e. I am may be the only one who has seen it), and it may be related to the fact that I also have another capture card in the system.
Anyone who has seen this, or has the SW installed and doesn't see it - please post your findings here.
v. 0.93.10 seems to include a different version of dongle.bin than v. 0.92.11. Using this dongle.bin, my MVPs do not work as well as with the previous one. They frequently crash, especially when using the (rather old, but very good) Pictures plugin. The MVPs crash when doing other things as well.
Additionally, the on-screen volume bar no longer appears. (I think newer versions of the Hauppauge software render the volume bar from the server.)
I have switched back to the old dongle.bin, and things work as before. I just worry that further development of GBPVR will depend on the newer version of dongle.bin.
I can't get it to download all the channel http://home.austin.rr.com/soloxp/images/gbpvr.JPG. Is there a way i can get all of them. All so when i get this usbuirt when i change the channel in gbpvr will it change the channel on the cable box. I'm sorry i'm still new to all this.
