  XRecord v33
Posted by: jorm - 2005-08-05, 06:13 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (66)

v.33 2005–08–05

now support images in same directory as videos for movies.
For example Constantine.mpg can have a file called Constantine.jpg next to it.

dl data now pulls down info from imdb. Persenting it in a list. Can hit stop on a video.
if zap 2 it database is there
when you open a recording I show the rating, and if it is a repeat or not.
export and xexport.exe now exports that data as well.
Archived shows now show quality, repeat status and rating.
Attempted fix for dup name appear with different case.

If anyone is having problems with Guide2j plugin can you repro it and send me the stack trace. I am going to start looking into enhancing it.

Any love for the Harmony 695?
Posted by: capone - 2005-08-05, 05:29 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

The wife is putting the remotes so out of sight now, it's becoming easier just to walk to the TV to turn it down. I've given up considering he UIRT, and I see people mention the Firefly. I have the 150 45-button, but I need to control the TV & Receiver.

Is the Logitech Harmony 659 any good for GB/TV/Stereo? I'm (read: wife) not interested in spending more than $100 for a remote.

92.11 upgrade, now can't view recorded shows...
Posted by: Rich - 2005-08-05, 04:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Okay... I had been running 90.11 (?, previous release before most current one) for the longest time. It was super stable, no problems on my end. All the plugins I used didn't require anything higher, so I never bothered.

Anyways, I was going to mess with MyVideo's plugin, and therefore I had to upgrade... So I downloaded the new version and did an install right over the top of the previous one.

Now, when I go into XRecord, click on a show, and hit play, it comes back with an instance in array out of bounds, or some similar error... (actual error reads: Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array) when I use the stock Recordings button I get the error, Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Something happened, but I can't figure out what. Any ideas? I'll attach the error logs for the two cases. First attach will be the Recordings click, second attach will be the XRecord click.

  FM Radio and LAME encoder
Posted by: mbdundee - 2005-08-05, 02:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Trying to get the FM Radio to work. I have the lame.ax file listed from the change log. I have placed it in the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr and ran a program called regsvr32 against the lame.ax file. It says it succesfully registered it. I have rebooted and still get the message that the encoder must be installed. I have also put it in the Windows\system32 directory and also registered it from there and it still does not work.
This is on Windows XP/SP2 with an ATI Theater 550 board.
What am I doing wrong?

I need help setting up the Web.
Posted by: rjm12 - 2005-08-05, 01:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi All,

I am trying to setup the web interface, here is what I have.

PC=192.168.0.2
|
Router=111.222.333.444
|
Cable Modem

I have a Netgear MR814NA 802.11b wireless, but I am connected with wires.
I have gone to the Port Forwarding menu and add the following service:

Service Name Start Port End Port Server IP Address
HTTP 7647 7647 192.168.0.2

Then from a friends house I typed http://111.222.333.444:7647/gbpvr/Login.aspx

I get no answer. If I enable pings on the router, I am able to ping it from his
house. I have no problem when I access it locally through FireFox.

Anything wrong here?

Thanks,

Rob

Save the programme description in a txt file with the same name as the mpg file
Posted by: otoelker - 2005-08-05, 10:50 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Hi,

I'm currently watching the recorded mpg files on my Dreambox http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/ This works quite well. I just have one tiny wish: would it be possible to save the programme description with the same file name as the recorded mpg file as a simple text file with extension .eit ? This would make it perfect ! Then I could just press the "info" button on my remote and have the text from the EPG in GBPVR ;-)

Cheers,

Oliver

Am I lucky or am I lucky?
Posted by: s53zo - 2005-08-05, 05:59 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

None of the above, I'm afraid.

I have Technisat Skystar 2 DVB-S card and ATI TV Wonder tuner. With great dissapointment I found out that none of them is supported in GB-PVR. Too bad. They work under Windows with their "native" software.

Is there a plan to add support for these two cards? Or at least for Skystar 2, as I have PVR-500 coming by mail soon.

Best regards,
Simon

  TV Guide and S-Video In
Posted by: aissakoo - 2005-08-05, 03:51 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I've setup an additional source as channel 255 using S-Video In. I'm able to get to in Live TV if I goto channel 100 and then go up 1 channel. I'm able to view what's comming in but my real prob is that I'd liketo Record what's comming in to vie later. The Live TV buffer splits the video files into 40MB chunks then recycles the 5th file. I was thinking of making that Inut Source have an EPG of XMLTV file to have it listed in TC Guide. However I dont know how to create one and I dont know if there is a better solution.

I'd appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.

  Recordings no longer listed
Posted by: tranders - 2005-08-05, 02:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I had to move my recordings to another driver and now they are no longer listed. It looks like the startup logic is validating the files and if they don't exist, it removes them(?) During the process of moving things around, I had to wait for a recording and after a final shuffling, that recording disappeared from the list. The files are there and I can get to them using the Video Library, but all the description info is gone.

It would be nice if the entry is simply marked as missing so that I can clean it up or otherwise take care of the problem (e.g., saving to a network drive that is taken offline occassionally). What I really want to be able to do is add this information back to the database so my recordings have nice descriptions (and it would be really nice if similar data could be added to the Video Library).

Any tips/hints would be greatly appreciated.

PVR-150 No Audio on Some Channels
Posted by: kchinth2727 - 2005-08-05, 01:33 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

On certain channels I am not getting any sound. It isn't just GBPVR though, it happens on WinTV as well. Almost every channel has sound except a handful (about 5 or so). Works fine on my regular TV though. Any suggestions?
