  MVP Availablity in NZ/Aust
Posted by: fire - 2005-06-29, 11:46 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (6)

I have had an order in for an MVP for 4 weeks now and the shop is still saying they don't know when it will arrive. I want to buy this in New Zealand in case there are issues with TV standards etc.

Has anyone in NZ bought an MVP from Australia, or any where else?

Does anyone have one for sale ? Wink

Andy.

  Detailed event infos
Posted by: Gomer - 2005-06-29, 11:19 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (53)

Hi everyone!

I've started development on a new LCD plugin to support LCD Smartie which I personally prefer a lot over jaLCD. I do wonder if there is anyway to recieve more detailed info on what's happening in GbPVR than just the plain Events such as CurrentAudioTrack/Videotrack and more? Info such as where in the movie we are at the moment, whether the user has pressed PAUSE, PLAY, STOP or not, whether the system is recording or not and so on?

Thanks in advance!

Problems viewing show while it's being recorded, Bug?
Posted by: Gomer - 2005-06-29, 11:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi!

Just thought I''d report a possible bug.... Today when I was recording from the TV I thought I'd watch it at the same time as it's being recorded, something I've done before and it's always worked great. Today however all I got when I pressed "Live TV" was a warning saying "No tuners are available to watch rhe requested........" as usual, but the problem is that I only get to select "Don't watch TV".... Usually it would give me the option to choose "Watch show XXXXXXX" where XXXXXXX of course is the show being recorded... Is this a known bug that occurs sometimes or is something strange going on? Note that it's never given me any problems before....

Thanks!

PS. Excellent program! DS.

  MyVideos
Posted by: Gomer - 2005-06-29, 10:46 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (40)

Okay, first of all: Nice work on this module, it's really great!

But as usual I do have a few questions Smile

1. How do I resume from a paused position in a movie? I've noticed that when I pause and the go back out to the main GUI the movie I was watching appears under "Paused Movies". But when I go there and press play or the Play button it starts from the beginning... Isn't it supposed to resume from the saved position (which it obviously knows)? If this isn't implemented yet: is it a feature that is planned?

2. I've noticed that it's possible for the plugin to identify files such as "moviename cd1.avi" and "moviename cd2.avi" as long as I place them in the same folder. Is it possible to somehow get MyVideos to disregard a part of the filename (such as cdX) so I don't have to place them in separate folders?

3. Suggestion: Since it does in fact realize that the above mentioned files are just two parts of the same movie, wouldn't it be nice if MyVideos detected this and after reaching the end of "moviename cd1.avi" asked the user whether he/she would like to continue watching "moviename cd2.avi"?

Once again: Great Work!

Blank screen in MVP with Nova-T PCI
Posted by: davypele - 2005-06-29, 09:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi

I'm tying to set up my system to run GBPVR with a PVR350 card and a Nova-T PCI card.

I've set up my cards in GBPVR config, so that I get cable channels through the 350 and my DVB-T channels through the Nova.

This all works fine in GBPVR on the PC, but when I try to use my MVP, only the cable channels work.

if I run live TV in the MVP starting with a DVB channel, all I get is a black screen. If I start on a cable channel and change to DVB, the screen freezes.

I've also noticed that I get the error message listed underneath, when trying to map my digital channels, though not all the time. (I also get the warning message about not having a MPEG2 multiplexer filter installed, which software comes with this?)

Can anyone help?

Cheers
Dave

  composite input problems
Posted by: mikeweaver - 2005-06-29, 08:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have finally got 2 150mce cards plus nova functioning correctly when 150 cards are using tv tuner / antenna input.

However when you change the input to compsite external tuner on the 150 cards, although you can record from one card, you cannot view from watch live tv, or view from an mvp. (prior to changing input) live tv and the remote mvps worked.

The status icom still reveals the cards and the recording status, but you get the run out of tuners error message.

please help

  Recording restarts every minute
Posted by: Mike Lub - 2005-06-29, 06:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

When I press Ctrl-K GBPVR starts recording in DVD-mode. When I stop the recording after 3 minutes after pressing ESC or Ctrl-S, I notice that there are 3 files (*.mpg) created in my video directory. All these files apear to be 60 seconds long, and apx. 40MB in size.

What I try to figure out is why GBPVR is splitting the video files in chunks of 60 seconds. Why does it not create 1 big file of 120MB?

I'm using Windows XP Pro (Clean install, .NET 1.1, DirectX 9.0c), Hauppauge 150 MCE, using the latest drivers from Hauppauge, and I use 2 harddiscs with each more than 150GB free space.

I saw other threads dealing the same issue, but without any solution.

Any help would be very welcome.

cheers, Mike

Not clear on capture device numbers
Posted by: darisb - 2005-06-29, 04:37 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I'm not clear on how the capture device numbers are recognized. I have a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 (retail) and a WinTV-PVR-500MCE. In theory I have three TV tuners sources, two S-video sources, two composite sources, and a FM radio tuner source.

When I go into the Capture Source on the GB-pvr configuration utility to create a Capture Source I have six capture device numbers to choose from.

Can someone explain to me how GB-pvr recognizes which device is which?

Thanks

I downloaded the latest VideoArchive utility this morning and installed it. When I tried to run it to look at my recorded videos I get the following error:

Error: Method not found: Void GBPVR.Public.IPluginHelper.PlayVideoFile
