I have never been able to get the RecTracker plugin to work properly. All of my recorded shows are sucessfully added to the rectracker.mdb file. Yet, when I run the PostUpdateEPG.dat GBPVR still wants to records shows in my rectracker database.
I've had a number of recordings that come up as "Failed" in red instead of "Ready" in green in the past few days. My install is a clean 0.92.11 install. I have adequate hard drive space. The logs appear to indicate absolutely nothing, as if the show was never scheduled to record in the first place.
I ordered a M150 and they sent me a M150 Plus does anyone know if this will work and if so how. I tried the M150 and it says can't find device. Thanks for the info and help.
Actually, my channel change button doesn't work when i enter timeshift mode not live preview mode... anyone else having these problems? Could it be a skin issue??
it works fine on live preview, iit's when i press record and enter time shift
Ok I just got a new firefly remote which I rigged up according to the advice at bladehq and it worked great but I noticed that when I tried to confirm channel selection after entering in the channel number nothing would happen the numbers would appear in the corner. Even the keyboard method of doing this failed Anyone know how to fix this or just manipulate the xml to get rid of the confirm command either way although I would prefer it fixed. I tried updating to the latest version of gbpvr to fix it and that didn't work.
A new release (3.0) of the Check Email plugin has been uploaded. This release includes the following.
1. Add current email count panel to the GB-PVR main menu to show the
number of emails waiting to be read on all accounts.
2. Added Check Accounts button to config screen to test email
accounts.
3. Added the ability to select/deselect APOP on each email account.
4. Masked out password on email account for added security.
Due to Uninstalling / Reinstalling I lose my recodings from the Database - To solve this I have Video Library pointing to my recordings folder so I can play them back thisway but I then have to quit gbpvr to use explorer to delete them when I've watched them. This alone is no biggy as once I have things all settled in I shouldn't be playing and lose my recordings but I still want to be able to delete as sometimes I introduce other video files to watch but I'm not obsesive compulsive and want to keep them all like some people do - I like to watch a Movie and then delete it so it would be nice to be able to delete from the Video Libary interface - Perhaps hitting the delete key on the keyboard gives an ARE YOU SURE or similar - its nice it auto plays when you select a video so no need to interfere with that by adding a dialogue there to Play or Delete or Exit similar to recordings but someway to delete would be nice.
I capture feed from a few overseas channels. Some of them always run 3 minutes or so behind. Is there a way to let the programming know that a certain scheduled program should have a 3 minute start delay. Something similar to prepadding or post padding. Currently If I set say 7-8 with a 3 minute post padding, the 8pm show on the same channel does not record.
One of my annoyances thats a sideeffect of this GREAT technology is when you record two subsequent programs and the Channell is a little off time you get the start of program two at the end of program one - not a big problem if you remember this and don't delete program one when you've watched it thereby erasing the start of program two. The annoyance comes that it seems EVERY time I tape Joey and scrubs - Joey runs late so the recording stops and starts momentarilly and in the mean time I miss a crucial punchline at the end of the show (Murphys law) - what I tend to do to solve this is tape Joey with a 35 minute overlap at the end to grab scrubs as well. What I would LOVE is the ability to somehow tape two shows in the same recording and name it JOEY & SCRUBS_20050504_20302130.mpg or similar so I don't forget its both.
With two tuners could I tape two things on the same channel with a tuner each with a 5 minute either side for both??? I always like to overlap 5 minutes eitherway as you never know when the broadcaster will stuff you around and the HDD space and skipping the start are no big price to pay.
I'm soon to receive a Hauppauge 500mce - what I want to know is how it handles the two tuners with sequencial recordings on two channels. IE if I schedule 7:30 - 8:30 on TV2 with 5 minutes eitherside and then 8:30 - 9:30 on TV3 again with 5 minutes will it alternate tuners or will GBPVR decide it can handle both on one tuner - This is the biggest annoyance for me (not with GBPVR - with VCR as well!!!!) Its rare for channels to start/end on time and you always end up Missing the End of the TV2 show as its running a little overtime and then what you get at the start of TV3 is news shorts etc.
How will it behave? Can I force a tuner for each recording?
I won't use the pc much for timeslipping or live watching so I don't care if GBPVR is hogging both tuners when some might consider it unnecesary.
