  Another sound problem
Posted by: robzee - 2005-06-13, 12:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

In Gppvr, I have No sound on some channels but if I surf up and down and back to channel it comes back. I have spent a week looking for a fix. Do you think its a manual tuning problem? I am in Canada. Hauppauge wintv-pvr-150

  Help plz, emulator in "MyPrograms"
Posted by: s2DragonEx - 2005-06-13, 11:36 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

I cant seem to get the emulator in my programs to work. I have a snes emulator, but none of the roms are showing up. Am I typing the right command fields into the settings the right way (can someone give me basically an example of what it's supposed to look like [screenshot maybe]? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*******UPDATE**********

I figured out how to get some roms to show up (I dont know how or what key the l is supposed to be or how to use it, so i can only get one type of rom extension.)

-Now everytime I try to go through the emulator and select a rom, the emulator crashes and I get a windows error report box. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I am using znes emulator.

  Slow listing and saving graphfilters
Posted by: mobiusnz - 2005-06-13, 09:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

OK - I'm having problems with slow opening of Mpeg2 files in mediaplayer and gbpvr - 8 second delay in WMP and 15 in GBPVR - these are the gbpvr.exe-native.log files from my original gbpvr pc and the new one, as you will see I get large delays at listing and saving graphfilers.

PC THATS WORKING WELL

21:12:33.875 VERBOSE video decoder filter: InterVideo Video Decoder
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE - InterVideo Audio Decoder
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE - InterVideo Video Decoder
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE - C:\PVR\Ali G In Da Usaiii\Ali G In Da USAIII.mpg
21:12:34.485 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles)
21:12:34.500 INFO DirectShowPlayerBase:layFile() done
21:12:34.516 VERBOSE DirectShowPlayerBase:ConfusedetPlaybackRate(1.000000)
21:12:34.516 VERBOSE Restoring audio

Notice only 1 second passed through whole process.

From the PC thats SLOW to start playing (Plays well once its going)

21:15:37.656 VERBOSE video decoder filter: InterVideo Video Decoder
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE - InterVideo Video Decoder
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE - InterVideo Audio Decoder
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE - C:\PVR\Ali G In Da Usaiii\Ali G In Da Usaiii.mpg
21:15:44.765 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles)
21:15:51.687 INFO DirectShowPlayerBase:layFile() done
21:15:51.687 VERBOSE DirectShowPlayerBase:ConfusedetPlaybackRate(1.000000)
21:15:51.687 VERBOSE Restoring audio

As you can see appears to be long delays at get and save graphfiles....

Any help GREATLY appreciated.

  DVD2MPEG - How to convert multi-tracks
Posted by: fire - 2005-06-13, 09:00 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi I have tried to convert a couple of Music DVD's to MPEG but it only converts the first track. Is there a way to convert the other tracks? When I play the DVD in my DVD player there are several tracks you can choose from, or you can play all.

  myblaster with gbpvr
Posted by: cocodc1 - 2005-06-13, 08:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am attempting to use myblaster to control my satellite box through the gbpvr software. I am able to switch channels with the utility that came with myblaster, so I know that it works. When attempting to use the myblaster plugin provided by gbpvr, gbpvr software will contact the blaster during learning mode (can see the red LED when asking for #s), but will not attempt to change the channel when prompted to during regular use.
Could I have missed a step in the configuration of the myblaster plugin utility.
Or is there a way to use the software provided with myblaster as a channel change exe? If so would you be able to provide detailed instructions as to how, as i am pretty new at this format. Thanks in advance for any help.

  Audio encoding question
Posted by: Indigo - 2005-06-13, 05:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I was wondering, when GBPVR records a show, how does it encode the audio? Is it just raw wav format, or does it use MP3 encoding? I have mp3 encoders installed on my system, but I'm not sure if GBPVR utilizes them or not, or what I would need to do to get it to do so.

Hello,

I'm receiving an unhandled exception from ArchiverUtility. Any ideas what is causing the issue?

Thanks,
Steve

  Retain aspect ratio settings
Posted by: venger - 2005-06-13, 02:38 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (9)

Hi Sub,

Would you consider 'saving' the aspect ratio settings?

Basically, GBPVR will 'remember' the previous aspect ratio setting that was selected by the User.
I think its great that we can select the AR using F7. However, once a User has selected the AR, it would be a more intuitive user experience if GBPVR retains the AR the next time the User watches TV or video.
Of course, if the User then changes the AR again, it would also be retain as the new default AR.

This feature to be provided for live/recorded TV and videos to maintain consistent user experience.

  Newbie Questions....
Posted by: CurtisMinBC - 2005-06-13, 01:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi there,

First I have tried to get GB-PVR to launch directly to the TV Guide by using the commandline below on my shortcut but it still does not work:

Code:
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe" -tvguide

As well I was wondering if their is a way to disable recordings from creating a folder based on the name of the television program being recorded.

Your help is appreciated...

RGDS & TIA

Curtis M.
