DVB & Analogue on 4:3 TV

Hi,

I have 2 analogue tuners (PVR-250) and 1 digital tuner (90002). Some show on the digital tuner are recorded as widescreen, is there a way to tell the digital tuner to record widescreen shows in letterbox mode (or even 4:3 mode) so i can view them on my 4:3 tv which doesn't have widescreen switching.

I'm fairly new to freeview (I'm in the UK). Are all programmes on freeview now transmitted in widescreen?

Only newer programmes are transmitted widescreen, older ones are still 4:3, most of Sky Travel is still 4:3 whereas BBC1 is almost totally widescreen

Unless they decide to broadcast 16:9in 4:3 format like five do sometimes that really p***** me off.
