  Directions Plugin
Posted by: ydekmekji - 2005-06-10, 06:08 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

For all of you who like developing plugins:

A plugin that allows you to do directions. Perhaps your default is saved already, and you can enter an address, press a button, and it goes to googlemaps or mapquest or yahoo maps and gives you directions on the screen

Dvico Fusion - BDA & Analog
Posted by: jammin - 2005-06-10, 05:34 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the analog input on my Dvico Fusion DVB-T as well as the BDA?

I'd like to be able to record normal FTA stuff using BDA, and record cable through the composite input.

I know XPMCE cannot do this, and I'm hoping GB can Smile

Thanks
Jammin

Trouble setting up digital cable box
Posted by: RonnaP - 2005-06-10, 03:59 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I'm trying to run my digital cable box thru my Hauppauge 150. I have my IR Blaster configured, I have composite video running from the cable box to the card.
I went in and updated my Zapit listings to show my digital cable and the channels show on the tv guide but theres no info on them.
Am I configured the capture source wrong??
Can anyone give me a detailed explanation on what each setting should be?

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease

Thanks so much Smile

  **Clean** install?
Posted by: Trevor - 2005-06-09, 10:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

OK, I'm having problems that I'm thinking are either related to 0.92.11 or to a plugin I installed that mangled something, or something else entirely.

Are there any reccomendations for a clean install? I was thinking of downgrading to 0.92.8 to be 100% sure the problems I'm having are realted to 0.92.11, but how much information do I have to lose to do a clean downgrade? I'd like to keep my guide data and my scheduled programs, but I'm willing to lose these if it means being absoultely sure nothing 0.92.11 is left behind.

Any ideas?

Native resolution for the user interface and OSD?
Posted by: MrMayhem - 2005-06-09, 08:50 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi!

First off, I think GBPVR is one hell of a software. The tv-guide especially is a welcome addition to my setup.

As I'm using a HTPC connected to a projector I have a question regarding resolution. My projector (and therefore desktop) is 1024 x 768. As I start GBPVR it seems that the picture is simulating 720 x 480 (which is the background image size in the standard "Blue" skin").

Is there a way to use the full 1024 x 768 pixels for the interface and OSD and only resize the tv picture? If yes, I would get a sharper interface with room for more information.

Thanks!

/Bo

  PVR-150 vs. PVR-250
Posted by: gomjabar - 2005-06-09, 07:48 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (11)

I got a 150 because it was about 50 buck cheaper than the 250, that and I couldnt find the difference between them? Both have a hardware encoder? So...what is the difference?

  More information on Conflict Resolution
Posted by: Pioneer4x4 - 2005-06-09, 06:46 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (13)

I think it would be very handy if when resolving a conflict, it gave more information on the show it is conflicting with. Some of the shows I have in the recurring list, like Seinfeld, and American Chopper... Are shown alot during the week, and I have seen almost all of them mainly because of the convenience of GBPVR. When I go to resolve a conflict with a show and it is conflicting with Seinfeld, I have to leave the conflict, and go to the pendings and find that scheduled recording, and see what episode it is to decide which one to keep.

I find it much easier to use the web interface to resolve conflicts, If there was a way to see that listing in the main GBPVR app, that would be nice also.

Sorry if this has been covered already.

DVB & Analogue on 4:3 TV
Posted by: sixgun - 2005-06-09, 05:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

I have 2 analogue tuners (PVR-250) and 1 digital tuner (90002). Some show on the digital tuner are recorded as widescreen, is there a way to tell the digital tuner to record widescreen shows in letterbox mode (or even 4:3 mode) so i can view them on my 4:3 tv which doesn't have widescreen switching.

I'm fairly new to freeview (I'm in the UK). Are all programmes on freeview now transmitted in widescreen?

Regards,

Antony.

Posted by: casperse - 2005-06-09, 02:05 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (11)

Hi Guys

Can anybody recommend a god RF remote to GB-PVR setup? Where I dont need the GB-PVR to run "on top"

Sofar I only found:
SnapStream Firefly USB RF
Remote Wonder II
& Niveus USB IR/RF combo universal (Also IR which could be nice!)

I have my HTPC in a closed room so I need the RF to get this working
