I installed the Hauppage PVE 150 MCE and hooked it up to my system via S-Video and also RCA cable. I then installed the GB PVR and got the channels. The problem I am having is that when I schedule shows in BG they do not record. I get a message that there is no TV tuner installed. Can anyone tell me how to fix this please.
I have released a new version of the mencoder plugin
It will convert mpg to avi
It does not require an additional dll.
It uses a newer version of mencoder
I have been following GBPVR for some releases now, and I must say the program looks great. But I miss out on the key features of the program, because I cannot save any files.
If I try to record a show, the folder that should contain the file is created, but it`s empty. And if I don`t use live preview all I get is the "starting timeshift mode tv, please wait", and then it jumps back to the main menu.
I finally got it all set up and just tried recording a half hour show. The file is 0k and won't play. I used the scheduling thing and recorded the show off the show guide thing where it said "quick record". Also, when lining up shows to record, I can't change the frequency to "recurring", I have to add all episodes manually. Is this normal?
Hi,
can anyone help me with the following error message?
"GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured...Reason:Failed to locate the configured BDA capture device"
I tried two different cards (Technotrend Premium S 1.6 and Technotrend Budget S1102) and only tried BDA Driver Version 4.4.10.0. Which drivers do i need for these cards. Is there a way to check weather the driver is ok with another test program?
just a few list of bugs that popup on my system more often than i would like
- Failed to playback file, when one show starts a new one stops
- If i push skip/ff/ctrl-o during timeshifting mode sometimes it kicks me out when i get close to the end of the file (err as the file is still growing), i think i get the same message.
anyway you could improve safety checks here so these things dont happen (well not as often). if you need my logs i can send, but doubt they would say anything all that interesting.
Supposedly you can get the parts at a local Radio Shack and throw a blaster together. Anyone done this? How difficult is it? Any schematics (for a regular Joe, not for an engineer please...)?
