Is there a way to see what the various functions/methods etc are available from gbpvr?

I can browse through GBPVRBackendCommon.dll with SharpDevelop, but that seems mostly related to managing recordings.

I'm unable to browse GBPVRPublic.dll, which is where I'm assuming the info I want would be.

So how do you find this stuff, other than coming here and posting "is there a way to do bla".

I am in Florida in the US. I have a system AMD 2600, Hauppage 150 MCE and the GB-PVR. I am getting feed from RCA and S video cables on the output of a Directv Tivo machine. In the Wintv software that goes with the card I get clear picture and channels, good video quality and I can record and playback. However, I am having only problems trying to setup the GB-PVR.
I could not get Livetv with the system set to internal tuner. I got a message of "no VMR9 choose other renderer" so I choose VMR7.
Then I got no video so I set to S Video External Tuner or S video External Tuner 2 - they are the only ones that will pick up any live TV or the feed from the tivo recordings.
Now comes more trouble. The picture is upside down and reversed. Also the picture quality is very poor and the audio is very out of sync. Please help. I am inlcuding what I assume were the logs as I do not see a log folder.

I'm fairly new to GBPVR and I was wondering if these is the facility to have the PC shutdown and restarted as and when Programs were due to be recorded?

I have had a look through a lot of the posts on here and haven't seen any threads related to this topic.

Is it actually part of the system I have missed or is it a plugin someone may be working on?

I'd like the forum's recommendation for the right PC TV capture card for me. I live in UK and primarily want one for transferring VHS tapes to DVD, but also for watching TV.

I've had 2 Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 cards which are fine for watching broadcast tv but crap for capturing from VHS - see http://www.dataper.demon.co.uk/delete/example.jpg for an example. Also Leadtek support is non-existent, so anything but Leadtek will be gratefully considered.

Target price=around the £70 mark.

Hi - I'm using an external tuner, Winfast USB II Delux (by Leadtek), and I'm not sure how to set up the channel changer. I'm trying to switch to GB-PVR since the Leadtek software causes my computer to freeze occasional - something about Windows XP and the device driver not getting along well.

I'd appreciate any pointers or help on the matter.

Does anyone had trouble with windows XP shutdown and than get a gbpvr error message?

Also my windows XP shutdown slowly and I believe that GBPVR doesn't release on shutdown.

It also happends on log offs.

I am still wondering if I have a bad install of GBPVR and I shold clean it up and reinstall.

I have installed UPHClean to makesure processes are shutting down but this did not fix it.

I am looking at making my MVP's wireless. And wanted to know what game adapters brands and model #'s others have working with their MVP. I have tried my friends viewsonic it could not bootp. If you have a wireless adapter please post its information here. When the list is complete I will post it on wiki.

Just bought a MVP and have noticed something right off the bat.

When I change the channel the video keeps playing, but then it pixelates and the audio skips around for about 1-2 seconds then it goes back to normal playing of the original channel and then I get the channel change happening in the mpeg file. This is really annoying.

is this normal for the MVP? My only frame of reference was using the TV-out on the PVR350 and it would pause the video when a channel change would happen, then resume playing the original channel for about 2 seconds and then I would see the channel change happen in the mpeg file.

If this is not normal, any ideas?

I have the minimal OSD box selected and that is it

I have a:
P4 2.8 Ghz
1 Gig RAM
200 gig EIDE hard drive
PVR350 and PVR250
100 Mbit LAN connection

As I understand it, for each channel change GBPVR is supposed to send these events to Girder:
GB_TUNE_x
GB_TUNE_y
GB_TUNE_z
GB_TUNE_EON
GB_CHANNEL_xyz

As far as I can tell from my logs, it only sends the three GB_TUNE events. Is this a bug, or am I missing how to enable GB_TUNE_EON and GB_CHANNEL_xyz?

Firstly, I must say I am incredibly impressed by GB-PVR . I am amazed that you are able to support so many devices without charging for your app. I am about to order a compatible adapter so I can use it to the full potential.

In the meantime, I have been experimenting with the MediaMVP features and I wondered if the GB-PVR MediaMVP Server supports the ability to Resume a previously stopped recording and jump by 10% increments using the numeric buttons (i.e. press '5' jumps 50% way into the recording, press '6' jumps 60%, etc.) - features I used a lot in the existing Hauppauge software.
