Is it possible to use a Lifeview TV walker device (mines re-branded as a Packard Bell PB-TV200 TV Box Encoder, claims to encode MPEG1-2-4) as the capture device, and use a Sigma X-card to display the MPEG streams it generates?

Don't know if anybody else has had this problem, but I haven't been able to find it in any other posts.
When I schedule a recording, at the correct time GBPVR switches out of Live Preview Mode and starts to record (I haven't yet trie it with GBPVR not actually running). A couple of seconds later the following message appears.
"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0x534(1380), thread id=0xd28(3368)"
The program continues to record, and shows as recording on the GBPVR main menu page, however the Recording Service shows as sleeping and stays red.
When the program is scheduled to finish, the next recording shows on the Main Menu page.
If I go into the Recordings menu it is not shown in the Ready section, but still shows as recording in the Pending section even though when played back the actual recording is only 10 or 20 seconds long.
Also, until I either re-start the recording service or sometimes reboot the computer, Live Preview pulls up the
"Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it" message.
I'm currently using version 0.92.8 with .Net 2.0 Beta 2 capturing from the composite input of a PVR150.
I've tried with .Net 1.1 and I've also tried disabling my sygate personal firewall but I still get the same result.
If I justtry and record a program I'm watching at the time it works fine.
My kids really like the Theatre Plugin, they seem to be using it every time I look :-)
Is there any plan to modify the look-and-feel and operation to comply with the "new" "92 GBPVR" appearance (e.g. the Theatre Plugin uses red 'buttons', the key sequence doesn't seem to exactly follow GBPVR usage for up/down, forward/back, etc.)
Just curious. Otherwise its a nice little feature.
I have noticed in the RenameRecording log, it shows the episode number, as well as the episode name.
Would it be possible to have the files renamed, including episode #?
Something simple like, 34-Episodename.mpg
This would REALLY help keep episodes in proper order, because once renamed (as they are now), they get sorted alphabetically.
I have the Diamond XtremeTV PVR 550 card and I would love to switch away from snapstream (came with card) to gbpvr. However, I don't see that this card is supported. It uses the same hardware decoder (conexant) as the Hauppage cards. Does anyone know if I can use this card? Has anyone else ever used this card?
I thought about giving the port of zapcvt a try.

Ok, here's my deal...I can get my PVR150MCE working fine, but I'm wondering what is the correct way to setup my capture sources.
When I set up the capture source as Internal Tuner, the TV works fine, but I can't get the S-Video to work (I assume the RCA would not work either), even if I manually add channel 101 to the channel list. However, if I setup a second capture source and specify S-Video external tuner, channel 101 works fine (as well as all other normal TV channels), but the TV guide seems to lose everything.
Is there a way to set this card up as a single capture source and have all inputs function correctly, or should I have a separate capture source for each set of inputs? If they must be separate, how do I bypass the EPG thing since it's irrelevant with S-Video and RCA anyway?
I don't really have the option of using wintv to change sources because the drivers (from shspvr) don't appear to be compatible with the hauppauge apps (they suck anyway). I assume there is a 'more correct' way to set this up without messing with hauppauge apps...
Most channels come in great - but a few look soft & static-y. One even has white lines running across the very top as if I'm seeing audio or tracking information on the the top few pixels. It's odd. So - do you think this is a simple tuning issue or something more evil and problematic?
I recorded a couple of shows last week. I'm seeing a jitter in the picture on playback. The episode of Dr. Phil my wife recorded didn't look too bad, but I notice a slight jitter. The episode of Two and a Half Men I recorded had quite a bit of jitter. I noticed mostly at time when there was a lot of rapid hand motions. It seemed to stablize when there was little motion. I never get any jitter in Live TV. Any thoughts on what adjustments need to be made. I'm using the DVD Xpack for Windows XP. I downloaded it last week, so it should be the current version.
