I think I'm missing something. I installed the TheaterListings plugin. It works, but I don't get the descriptions or the posters. What am I doing wrong?
Thought I'd take the time to give you guys some specific feedback on issues I have found (weren't sure where to post, and I mentioned at least one of these issues in an earlier post - sorry for the dupe, but I thought it would be handy all in one post)
Software: Ver 0.92.8 + My Videos 4.0 + ME skin (update)
Hardware: PVR-150, MVP (more detail in sig)
Ver 0.92.8* -
1) .wma files play fine on my MVP; I tried this with a single file and a playlist
2) mini-guide does not display programme info
3) Re .avi's, Trans2MVP no longer appears to build the graph with FFDShow correctly (for me anyway). I have included a zip containing graphedit snapshots and trans2mvp logs from before and after the upgrade.
* Verified with the 'Blue' and 'ME' skins, these results are not skin-specific
ME skin (update)** -
1) Attempting to schedule recordings from the guide, OSD guide, fast find, crashes immediately to 'contacting servers' then Main Menu
2) Pressing 'OK' within My Videos 4.0 to view movie info, actor info, etc., crashes immediately to 'contacting servers' then Main Menu
** Verified with the 'Blue' skin, both these issues occur only with the updated ME skin.
Anyone got a Photo Album/Viewer plugin for GB-PVR that's compatible with the recently released 0.92.8 version? Only thing I'm lacking in the PVR department at the moment...
I have a new version ready on wiki.
This version now will display a yellow box on the screen. You can move the box around using the Up,Down,Left Right buttons. The box then can be sized with the 2,8,4,6 buttons.
The setting for Width,Height, Offset X, Offset Y display on the screen. You will have to enter these number in the config part of the utillity.
The way I would sugest you go about this would be to set the X, Y offsets to 0. Then change the Width to 700 and height to 500.
Then you should be able to move the box around to where you want it.
I've gotten this in previous releases, but once in a while. I'd watch a recording and at some point, all audio cuts out. In fact even that new bleep bloop thing is out (so it's not just in recordings). I have to restart GBPVR, and i get audio again... and then it would go out at some point. But when I watch the mpg in windows media player, it's all good! So the file is carrying audio fine, but somehow through gbpvr it's not transmitting
This would only work if your channel arrangement on the PC is in sync with whatever TV stations you have, but... Since Live Preview is so great and enables channel hopping, it'd be nice to have the option not to have to send programmatically '1--7--6' to change from channel 175 to 176, but instead just send the STBs 'Up' or 'Down' remote buttons when the HTPCs 'Up' and 'Down' are sent and updating the channel on the HTPC at the same time.
for a while i've wished that there was an easier way to play the show currently being recorded (in a one tuner system). right now, when im recording and i select Live TV, i just get an error message that no tuners are available. i'd personally like to have a dialog box come up when i select Live TV that says the tuner is in use, recording XYZ, would i like to watch XYZ? yes/no.
another time when it might be nice to have this is when watching Live TV and a scheduled recording creeps up. as it stands now, gbpvr just exits back to the main menu once the new recording starts. it'd be nice to have the same dialog box pop up at that point. this would double as an implementation of the ability to set "reminders" for shows you want to watch, and have gbpvr switch to it once it starts.
