sorry if it seems like a newbie question, but i found nothing in the wiki that anwsered that, or other posts.
basicaly, i configure my s-video and composite inputs under the capture sources tab, but unless i assign them a "channel" under edit recording source, they don't show up at all under the channels tab, which make me unable to tune to them using live tv.. So i assign channel 1 and give it a number and name (03, composite) under the channels tab, and i get a near-still of my current channel on the tv-tuner when i try to "tune" to that channel.
How do i solve this, what am i doing wrong?
I'm using an ati tv wonder elite, on windows xp sp2, on svideo and composite i have my ps2 plugged (universal cable) and in the tuner, i have my digital cable box, which i tune using its own remote, since i have nothing in the likes of the ir blaster.
I was wondering if there was a way to set up a list of movies in advance that I want to record. When one of the movies in my list matches with a movie in the EPG, I would get a notification in GB-PVR or by e-mail that its available and can be setup to record.
Is there something out there with IMDB/Yahoo/etc. or is it possible to have something set up in GB-PVR to do this? This would save a lot of time instead of manually going through the tv guide or fast find looking for the same must-have movies in my list that I want to record.
P.S. Anyone got some advice for the best settings for the ATI Theatrix 550 chip ?....got the Sapphire card installed, running GB-PVR (much smoother than SnapStream I have to say...kudos !).....looking fo rthe best picture quality I can muster !
I go into config, hit Capture Sources --> Edit --> Recording Source, and then trying "High Quality". I hit save....but when I come back, it's always back to "Medium Quality" ?
Does the user setting stick, and it just goes to Medium in the list for fun....ir does it not stick ?
Cheers...Barry

I haven't pursued because I don't flip, but once in a while I'd like to do last channel to go back/forth. I only watch TV timeshift, and it doesn't happen live. But when I change channel (either up/down or numberic) the playback will stutter randomly. Just little skips, mostly.
Since no one else seems to mention, and ppl have been pointing out even leaner builds, I'm thinking it's something I can fix.
Can anyone think of or know of something? It happens regardless of the decoder, so nix that. It's also not a burning issue, but I'd like to fix so my wife can also use channel button w/o troubleshooting it.
1. I am getting "object reference not set to instance of an object" as if there's a null pointer being dereferenced. It happens every time I view a previous recording and then exit the playback. Not a big deal, but annoying.
2. If I try to play a video file that is letterbox (not recorded by gbpvr, downloaded from the internet) the video is displayed at full tv height, so that the images are stretched vertically. This does not happen in Windows Media Player. I am using the Intervideo NonCSS Video Decoder (the only other option is "system default").
3. If I set a program to record from, say, 8 to 9pm, with 0 minutes prepadding and 0 minutes postpadding, why does it still come up in the recording queue as recording from 8 to 9:01?
I've tried using these skins on 2 different PCs running GBPVR and neither work. All other skins I've tried work OK.
In the config app I select SCAN from the drop down list (after I've unzipped it into the skins folder) and save it. No errors from the config app. But when I start GBPVR, nothing ever happens.
For the GBPVRME skin, I get an error when trying to select it in the config app drop down list.
Has anyone ever successfully used these skins? Any guess what I could be doing wrong?

NVidia 5200 and Winfast Tv + FM 2000 XP
If I try to use these two cards together, I can get a TV to show the desktop, cloned. Opening WFTV, the programme that comes with Winfast, I see the _fram_ of a TV image on the TV screen, but inside the fram is blank.
