  aspect ration in overlay
Posted by: reven - 2005-04-14, 11:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

i know that it doesnt work

Quote:- Added aspect ratio control for VMR7/VMR9. Press the F7 key to toggle between aspect ratios. Additional custom ratios can be added to config.xml if required.

but for dvds i use powerdvd which is overlay and if i push f7 it does cycle thru aspect ratios. it just doesnt work if i use the same decoder for live tv (in timeshifting mode). sub is there any chance you can get it to work with overlay? (powerdvd produces a much better quality image than windvd)

  Progress on move of wiki
Posted by: blader_se - 2005-04-14, 09:35 AM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (54)

I've now started to move the content of the Wiki to gbpvr.com. (Don't worry I'll not take down the wiki yetWink .

Before incorporating the plugins and skin pages, I would like some feedback on the Plugin Template and Skin Template that I have created.

Anything missing/unnecessary/good/bad about them?

  UK Digital/Freeview Comapatible Card
Posted by: davecozens - 2005-04-14, 09:03 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Hi,
I'm looking to get a tuner card that's compatible with the UK Freeview/Digital TV system, which ideally should be compatible with GB-PVR.

Any suggestions as to which cards work well?

Cheers.
Dave

  v0.91.12 posted (14 April)
Posted by: sub - 2005-04-14, 07:06 AM - Forum: NextPVR Announcements - Replies (42)

I've just uploaded http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVR09112b.msi

There is very little difference between this and the last release. I'm in the middle of changing job, so havn't had much GB-PVR time over the last couple of weeks.

This release primarily exists due to get the ATI 550 Pro working, but there is a couple of other bugs that have been fixed that will help other users as well.

From the change.log:

Quote:
2005-04-13 v0.91.12
- ATI Theater 550 Pro now works, including sound. ATI have kindly provided updated work drivers which work in my part of world, allowing me to finally track down this problem. There still seems to be some minor audio/video sync issues (at least for me PAL country), but this is not caused by GB-PVR and I'm hopeful ATI will nail this sometime soon with updated drivers.
- Fixed a bug in the audio routing, which was identified as part of the 550 Pro fix above, but would definitly affect other devices too. Hopefully this explains some of the occurance of missing audio for users.
- Fixed a bug that could cause an in-progress recording to stop when GB-PVR was closed (if the same tuner was used earlier for live tv).
- Removed comics plugin which no longer functions due to changes on the comics source website.

As always, if you are upgrading from a previous version, its advisable to backup your existing directory in case of any problems.

EDIT: It seems I initially forgot to add v0.91.11 to the list of versions that can be upgraded (see comments below), but I've now corrected this, repackaged and uploaded the update. The package above should now be able to upgrade a v0.91.11 setup without any problems. Sorry for any inconvenience.

  Hauppauge Remote Controls TV also.
Posted by: MikeDogg - 2005-04-14, 02:56 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

I have a Philips TV that the Hauppauge remote like to control also. I have a PVR350 and I'm using the videoout. When I try to change the channel in GBPVR my TV goes up a channel also, which stops me from being able to view the videoout of the 350. Anyway to disable this? Would getting a new universal remote do the same thing? I don't want to get a Firefly, I want a universal remote so I can control everything from one remote. Would this be possible? Any ideas?

  Happauge released new 150/250/350 drivers
Posted by: chasef - 2005-04-14, 02:50 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Just a heads up, probably mostly to sub, Hauppauge has released updated drivers for the 150/250/350 cards and I'm sure it's gonna open up a new can of worms (but here's hoping it'll go fine Big Grin ) I, however, am having problems. I deleted and reloaded my capture source in config and now, when I try to view live tv, I get "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I'll probably end up having to roll back drivers but I thought you should know the new ones are probably gonna cause problems, sub.

  WebAdmin "Play Program"
Posted by: jrmosier - 2005-04-14, 01:33 AM - Forum: Developers - No Replies

First of all, I really like the improved Web Admin.

I have stumbled across an issue with the Web Admin. My setup uses a server as my PVR system back end and a MVP front end. The Web Admin is reachable from the outside, but when I click on "Play Program' my player (WinAmp) receives the URL of

http://127.0.0.1:7647/gbpvr/public/download.aspx?rid=#

Even though the link was:

http://www.myserver.com/gbpvr/public/dow...aspx?rid=#

Any idea how I can work around this?

My router is set to translate port 7647 to a port allowed by my ISP.

Long videos restarting when you try to fast forward
Posted by: rykr - 2005-04-13, 11:34 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

I have seen this very predictably with the last 3 versions of GBPVR. If I am watching a previously recorded show that is long (at least 2 hours), then when I am near the end of the show (in the last 30-45 minutes), it will often restart the video when I try to fast forward (like through a commercial). The restart is quite seamless and fast. Unless you saw the first of the show you would not know it had restarted.

Any thoughts?

Posted by: brw02005 - 2005-04-13, 11:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Ok Im not dumb or anything I actually fix comps under the table but I cannot get the my music plugin to activate I add a rootdirectory and choose my playlist file then scan to create a directory and nothing happens I had dbpoweramp installed as suggested before install I can't even view the my music icon to appear on the menu.
