  can't record
Posted by: pauche - 2005-04-09, 04:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I just upgraded to v0.91.11 from 10 (not fresh install). In the TV guide or from live tv, when I select to record gb-pvr gives me the " Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and locks up. I have tested quick record and it works.

Does anyone else have this error and/solution?

  Can't attach files
Posted by: pcostanza - 2005-04-09, 03:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I seem to have lost the ability to send attachments. Actually, I haven't been able to do so since we've moved to the new boards. Am I missing something or just really dumb? (don't answer that last part).

  Hauppauge Remote
Posted by: Jeff - 2005-04-09, 03:20 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (14)

Are there other remotes that will work with the MVP besides the Hauppauge remote? My son lost our remote so the MVP is kind of useless at the moment. I need to buy a replacement and was wondering what my choices are.

  Strange Audio & Video issue
Posted by: Wirsing - 2005-04-09, 03:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hello,
I have this strange Audio and Video issues when watching Live tv or recording on my Plextor TV402U.
The Audio sounds like it is using an "underwater effect".
The Video is shifted on the screen - showing the upper 1/3 of the picture on the bottom of the screen.
I tried different Audio and Video decoders but it is still the same.
I don't think that it is realted directly to GB_PVR. I had this issue
with every version.
To work arround this problem I need to open WINDVR 5 that came with my Plextor TV402U and tune into a random channel.
If I now close WINDVR 5 and restart GB-PVR Live TV my Audio and Video is normal again.
Does anybody have the same issues, or even better a solution?

  News: Patent litigants target DVRs

I'm sure this a) crap, and b) GB is not even on their grabby-hand radar, but it's news on the PVR/DVR market:

Patent litigants target DVRs

By Michael Kanellos

Story last modified Fri Apr 08 04:00:00 PDT 2005

Forgent Networks, which has so far garnered more than $100 million dollars in fees on its so-called JPEG patent, is going after the digital video recorder industry.
The Austin, Texas-based maker of licensing and scheduling software owns four patents it claims give it the right to collect royalties on computers or similar devices, such as those made by market leader TiVo, that record, store and play back video- and audio-transmitted signals.

While three of the patents primarily involve videoconferencing systems, patent No. 6,674,960 specifically addresses recording television signals to a computer.

  Channel changing problem
Posted by: krekeg - 2005-04-09, 01:47 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I've just installed a RedRadt3 IR Blaster and have a bit of an issue.

GB-PVR will quite happily change channels correctly when running Live TV and will change channels when selecting the watch option after choosing a program in the TV guide.

However, I can't get it to change channels for scheduled recordings.

I'm running version 0.91.11

Any ideas?

Hi all,

tried to schedule a couple of recordings last night and got mixed results. The first show recorded fine. The second show wasn't recorded at all, though a new directory was created for it.

My gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log show's the following:

  MPEG filter- DVB
Posted by: onestar - 2005-04-09, 06:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I just found that when I use mediacenter from pinnacle, I can watch digital TV perfectly. But if I switch to GBPVR its either breaking up or fails to show after 3/4secs. I presume its to do with the mpeg multiplexer installed. Is there anyway to use the pinnacle one, instead of the cyberlink (or inter/showshift) ones?

I Need a Walkthru Adding NetRadio from Shoutcast
Posted by: GeneralElectric - 2005-04-09, 04:45 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I have read various posts and looked all through Shoutcast and played various net radio stations via Winamp....even tried exporting a playlist from Winamp to NetRadio folder.....but I'm hopeless.

Where do I actually find on the Shoutcast or other sites the .pls files to enter into the netradio directory?...or how do I create them?

Thanks in advance.
