  My Videos error
Posted by: garygamb - 2005-04-04, 12:20 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (14)

I have just done a full format/reinstall of windows and thus GB-PVR and associated plugins.

I am trying to setup MyVideos and when I go into GB-PVR and go into MyVideos there isn't a button that is highlighted.

If I press the down key, nothing happens, if I press the right or left, key the arrows at the bottom right hand corner are highlighted and I can navigate correctly.

If I press the Up key first I get this error and it kills GB-PVR entirely. I have to exit and restart GB-PVR:

4/3/2005 7:16:44 PM.609 ERROR [2] Error: msg=0x100 (WM_KEYDOWN) hwnd=0x1b0108 wparam=0x26 lparam=0x1480001 result=0x0 : Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

  Problem playing avi movies
Posted by: smokeyalien - 2005-04-04, 12:17 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have a large collection of movies and shows ripped to Divx avi files that I try to watch through the GBPVR front end. Ever since switching to the .91x versions I have had a huge problem. I can watch up to 4 of these movie files before GBPVR locks up. On the fifth one GBPVR locks up with a black screen forcing me to reboot to get through it. After the reboot I restart GBPVR but it continues to maintain the lock up and black screen when I try to play another avi file. The only thing that seems to break this problem is if I uninstall gbpvr and reinstall it. Then the cycle begins again.

I can try and provide the logs but I am hoping I'm not the only one with this problem and I hope there is already a workaround.

The system it's running on is an XP1800 with 1 gig of memory and a 120gb drive with a cd-rom running Windows XP SP1 and .Net 1.1 along with GBPVR .9109 on a wired network.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

UPDATE: It seems that it is not a factor of how many avi fiels I watch but the overall time. Just got done watching an hour and a half long movie and now it's locked up again. Please tell me we can figure this one out guys because it's beyond aggravating now.

  Error: Redrawing Menus
Posted by: njf - 2005-04-04, 12:00 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Previously, GBPVR has worked great, with no problems. Thanks Smile.

Now I'm getting an error on startup, which is slowing down the menus. I'm on a WinXPSP2/ObjectDesktop machine with a Hauppauge 250. Here's the log, if it helps:

  Can't get Nova-T (909) to work.
Posted by: johnnyb - 2005-04-03, 09:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

I have just installed GBPVR on my PC with a WinTV USB2 and a WinTV Nova-T PCI (old/909 version). On the config screen I have added the WinTV USB2 OK and it works. Problem is when I add the WinTV Nova-T on the config screen, I can't get the 'Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels' to work.

I set the recording source to a BDA Recording Plugin, Set Card Type (Nova-T 909), County and Region. Set the EPG to XMLTV Plugin, and import the EPG. I save these settings as per documentation and then come back to the config screen for the Nova-t. When I press the 'Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels', I get a folder dialog which says 'Point me at the config directory please'. What does this mean ? Although this dialogue appears, it stops responding, and I have to do an 'End Now' to get Windows to shut it down, which closes the config application. HELP, I can't get any further. (Note: I had to install Showshifter to get over the mpgmux.ax problem - just in case this is connected in some way). I have tried switching off virus scanner and fierwall, but get same results.

I have also put a new disk in my PCand done a clean install of XP, XP SP2 and all Windows Updates and then put Nova-T in PC and just installed latest 2.17g drivers. There is nothing else on the system (No WinTV USB2, no Hauppauge TV card software, no MVP software) - and I still get the same problem.

Could it be something to do with the XML data file? I am using Alan Birtles XMLTV utility to generate it. I have also used the same XMLTV data file for the WinTV USB2 and Nova-T, and just selected appropriate channels. Is this OK ?

HELP. Pulling my hair out (and wife is getting annoyed with me spending a lot of time on the PC) !!!!!

Xrecord - delete with no confirm before delete
Posted by: jasjol - 2005-04-03, 09:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have set confirm before delete in Xrecord - and it works very well.

But today I tried my first archive - which worked - I then tried what I could do to the recording when archived.

I tried delete - and it deleted with no confirm before delete.
(I just tried with a recordning of no interest to mee)

Is there something I should change or is it a bug?

  Anyone using LCD plugin?

Anyone using the LCD plugin? Before I spend a lot of effort on a vfd, I just want to make sure it is working for people out there. Also, anyone working on a different version that doesn't require jalcds?

Channel numbers in "pending recordings" view
Posted by: minarets - 2005-04-03, 09:01 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

It would be nice if, when viewing the list of pending recordings, the channel number was visible before the show name.

It seems that when you set up a recording manually, it shows the channel number followed by the call-letters (i.e. 59 CNNH), but when setting up a "full-season/all episode" recording, only the show title and brief description are shown. Personally, I think it would be very helpful to also see the channel number and then the show title, the same way as it's shown for manual recordings.

Something like:

50 South Park__________________Scheduled
Brief Description_____________Date and Time

(without the underscores, of course)

-min.
