I had a problem last night when I ran out of disk space on the partition I use to store my videos, whilst a recording was in progress. Once I saw the low disk space warning, I freed up some space, but it looks like I was too late. The file was not getting any larger, but due to the fact that GBPVR was reporting the recording as in progress, rather than failed, I left it (foolish I know).

So my question is, if a recording is halted due to lack of disk space, how would I resume it? I thought restarting the recording service, but wasn't sure if it work or what would happen to the part of the show that was already recorded.

I'm going to experiment tonight, but if anyone knows anymore in the meantime, I'd love to know.

Just wondering what will happen if I stick an audio cd in the drive...

Xrecord works great, and runs perfectly.

But there are no image's showing up on the recordings. First i thought it was because there were no image's available for series such as CSI NY, and Nip Tuck. But also movie's such as Alien III, Oceans Eleven etc don't get image's.

How do i get those image's on my recordings ? I have tried the empty button on the remote, and CTRL+O...

I am running the V20 version of Xrecord, and 09.108 version of GB-PVR on a Pundit.

I've got a Twinhan Visionplus DVB-T card and an Xcard, I've installed GBPVR09108.msi and BDADriverV1.2.1.6

Scanning for channels works fine but when I click on "Live TV" it only plays for a couple of seconds and then stops, anyone else having problems?

Okay, I think that's just reception difficulties, I'm in Melbourne Australia, channels 2 & 7 have the problem outlined above but channel 9 is playing fine.

Hello - Some help required,

I have recently installed a Hauppage MVP but have realised that it will not recognise/play the DVR MS files that Windows Media Centre uses to saves my recorded TV.

My question is, if I install the GB PVR software will it allow my MVP to recognise and play DVR MS files, or will it still be limited to MPEG's only?

...or if you know how to make my PC save my recorded TV as Mpeg's (i.e. without using Media Center) then that would be equally as useful.

Hi. I am thinking of going twin DVB - T PCI cards so that I can make use of all the channels in the UK. Can someone help me with a few questions?

1) Is there solid support for DVB-T cards in gb-pvr?
2) What is a good card to get? (Bearing in mind that I am in the UK)
3) Has anybody done a PVR150 + dual DVB-T card setup and (apart from all the hassles did it work OK?)
4) Do they come with an IR Reciever? I am not sure I want to go through all the hassles of getting 3 IR Remote recievers working again. I would like just to be able to use a single IR Reciever. The remaining one that is connected to my PVR150. Is this possible?

First I have to say, GBPVR great piece of software. (and free too!!!). Good enough that I am spending too much time trying to get the system setup perfect now

So as a newbie, using .9105 I've noticed two nights in a row now that the recording service crashes (exception caused) after 2am and before 6am. I was wondering if it might be related to the EPG update happening at 3-4am ?

Hi, I am using the ver 9.105(gbpvr09105.msi) and everything is good except for one thing. For some reasons, I would have pending/schedule shows that I never set to record. This is the second time it happened in three weeks. I have pending/ready to watch recordings that I never set. It's always the same shows and at the same time. It would schedule "late night with david letterman" and "american choppers" around 9:00 pm - 12:30 am. Another weird part is,I don't even have that channel for the "american chopper" show. I got basic cable. There's definitely something that is setting those shows to be scheduled/recorded. It's definitely not me, and no other people has access to my computer at home.

I have the PVR responding to most of my hauppauge controls, regardless if it is in the foreground or not.

But I was wondering if the missing commands could also be made available ? It would mean I could use ir32.exe to control the PVR without making sure its in the foreground.

To compensate at the moment I've added findwindow, then foregroundwin before sending the key presses, but I like the sendmessage one better.

Hi to all gbPVR users out there,

I am the proud owner of a brand new, very cool and very quiet system which is dedicated to gbPVR only. I has a PVR150 and an XCard.

I decided to buy a 5400 rpm HDD (Samsung SV1604N) which is really silent and cool but seems to be too slow to enable time shifting or in general recording and watching simultaneously - sometimes the movie freezes for parts of a second. If I rewind and watch the same scene again, there is no freezing, so i guess its recorded correctly.

I tried an other HDD (WDC 7200 rpm) and it works fine. But *this* HDD is more than audible! :eek:

I it possible that recording and watching reqire so much bandwith on the IDE channel that this makes a difference?
