I hate to admit it but I ran out and bought the MVP after discovering GB-PVR. The thought of playing all these great videos and music filles on my Crappy 19" TV was very appealing. So imagine my disappointment when none of them worked to my satisfaction. No DVD playing capabilities really killed it for me. I have several non-US region DVDs that I love to watch but alas I'd have to find another way.

My solution was purchasing a new HDTV with a DVI input. Granted, this is the exception to the norm (I was planning on buying one anyway) but I'd still like to use an MVP type device for the 19" which has now been moved into the bedroom. Has anyone heard about another MVP like device without the limitations? Or perhaps an MVP2?

Basic info:
Using zap2it for my listings
Generating recordings using PriorityRecordings.exe and an associated .xml file
running rectracker %1 in postprocessing.bat
running rectracker -purge in postupdateepg.bat

after the show is recorded I get this in a log file I pipe everything into

Each and every Good Eats and X-Men scheduled recording is removed from the list =( any help?

It would be sweet if, we could have a modem in the pc and GBPVR could read the incomming caller ID info and display it on the screen when the phone rings.

I think some of the Direct TV models and some HUGE big screen tv's do this.  Its most handy.

Is there a hotkey for doing that during playback in video libary? I dont know how to it, if there is a way.
Great program by the way. I have skipped Meedio because of the GB-PVR. This works.

First, I would like to say thanks to everyone that has been working on GB-PVR program(s). This group make the MVP great to use (unlike the Hauppauge software).

Now to my question...

I have upgraded to v.91, now my remote control back/exit key will kill the gb-pvr service but only when I am on the main menu.

Is there a way to change it ? Is anyone else having this problem ?

Is they a mapping file for the Media MVP that can be changed ? I would also like to change the function of the OK key in MyVideos plugging ?

I have a dual tuner config using a PVR 150
and a PVR 350. In the Zap2it guide I have
multiple instances of the same channel, like
say channel 12 is in both guides. How should this work?

Should I be able to just see 2 channel 12's in my GB guide,
one being PVR 150 and the othe being PVR 350?

Should I try to remap one of the guides ,changing 12 to a different number on one of the cards?

Should I just delete 12 from one of the guides? ( even though
it is kind of nice having the both ,just in case one or the other
fails. ie.. sat or antenna)

I have tried remapping and just leaving the multiple instances of the same channel , (having 2 12's in the guide) but I get
a error ( object reference not set to an instance of an object )when I try to view the BB guide this way..

GBPVR takes 1-2 minutes to load. I turned off Virus/Firewall protection with no help. I have no trouble opening any other apps only GBPVR. Any ideas?

I don't know about the rest of the world but TV start/end times in NZ are incredibly unreliable. This means that if I tape two programs in a row often the end of program one is recorded at the start of program two. It would be nice If you could record two subsequent programs to one file whereby the recording is named &quot;Joey &amp; Scrubs&quot; or similar.

My current work arounds for this are either to schedule Joey to record with a 40 minute post padding and then remember I taped both or to simply watch joey and then the last few minutes at the start of scrubs. The only problem with this is when you tape two subsequent programs where one of them is not a regular so you later forget they were subsequent so you then don't notice that program B is tacked to the end of program A - or you watch program A and then miss the climatic last 5 minutes of the program thinking you missed taping it when actually its sitting at the start of program B.

Hope my ramblings make sense - essentially the ability to hold CTRL and tag two programs or similar two combine the recordings to one video file with a name that reminds you it was done.

Anyone else got thoughts on this problem?

I have WinTV pvr 250 and 2 capture sources set up on it.

Several times since iinstalling version 09010, there has been the following problem:

A show will start recording at the right time and I think finish at the right time - but the file size is over 4Gb when it should be 1.5Gb (low quality). Also, the file is corrupt and will not play - all I can do is delete it.

Has happened twice at least but it seems only when one show directly follows another but is on a different capture source - but I have not determined whether this problem would only occur in this instance.

This may be related to other posts about two capture sources on one device - but I'm not sure.

Can anyone tell me what log files, settings or database entries I need to look at to begin solving this problem?

Currently on vesion 09105...
