  MVP turns itself off
Posted by: stoenjes - 2005-03-21, 05:38 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

During the initial screen (Scanning Servers), my D1 MVP will turn itself off after a few seconds. It usually takes 4 or 5 tries for it to get going. After that, it stays on.

Any ideas?

  Problems with EPG
Posted by: Darx-starz - 2005-03-21, 05:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

OK so my last post on this subject got a small response. Trying again.
I have a totaly new db by way of a new install. I set up the EPG as I have before and when I do up arrow I get "object reference not set to an instance of an object ". At this point gb-pvr crashes and I have to kill it with taskmgr. I find that if I remove the extra channels (BBC3, and 4 and ITV3 and 4) It works fine and the guide wraps around like it should.

I am using the latest of everything.

Anyone can help me?

More than one type of Media MVP
Posted by: bgowland - 2005-03-21, 04:47 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Just a quick question - I have a Media MVP but I see people talking about the 'Media MVP 1000'. Are there two different devices or is this just a naming convention, i.e., products are sometimes marketed with different names in different countries.

Cheers,
Brian

  Plugin Help: bat files
Posted by: capone - 2005-03-21, 04:43 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

The problem w/ some of the plugins now it that they may not consider settings/commands you may have in the post-.bat files.

This is kind of a mutual wish reg to sub and plugin writers. What would be ideal is if there was a bat file as part of an add/update GB/plugin process that would write to/update the bat files to add/update new settings.

The same logic eventually should extend to other shared pages that overlap GB and plugins.

Use of program information within broadcast
Posted by: hansi - 2005-03-21, 10:00 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Most channels broadcast the name of the show that is currently running. My TV shows that information while zapping. It would be nice if this information could be used to override the padding values, so the recording can be made more reliable.

1 hours recordings stop at 56:46
Posted by: pinarphan - 2005-03-21, 07:37 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

SSIA....

Well, I can't be that short winded...

I tried stretch'n the padding to 9 minutes, all 1 hour recordings still stop at 56:46. It does the same with 2 minute padding, 5 minute padding and 9 minute padding. All end at 56:46.

30 minute recordings record 30 minutes plus whatever the padding is set to.

The time line shows 56:46 and the recording stops before the show is over. In the "pending" recordings it has the proper times listed including the scheduled padding.

Seems wierd to me!

Should I try CDK?

  Recording blockout times
Posted by: mikerm19 - 2005-03-21, 07:26 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

If this would be possible, this would really help for me.

My situation:
I work second shift, 3p - 11p. So, when I come home, I usually watch [adult swim] from 11p - 4a. When I set up recordings for other shows, I usualy do the season record so I get all the episodes (some programs aren't on a constant schedule), so I end up having to manually delete the ones scheduled 11p to 4a

What do you think? [Image: biggrin.gif]
