Just a FYI, the dll that you have on the wiki isn't the latest and greatest as per the code you have on the wiki. You might wanna rebuild it and then update the dll file.

Hi, I am using the NTSC version of the Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U and GBPVR... Things work great, but I am looking for a way to select the audio bitrate. When I record in Divx the audio bitrate is 224k/bs and I don't see any way to set it lower. Is this because the ConvertX is providing a Raw PCM stream? Is there anyway to turn the bitrate down?
Other than than, things seem to be working well. I am still trying to find some good Bitrate/Screen Res to record at. I would be great if it was easier to access this config.
Hi again all! Video library works fine until I hightlight and chose a video then it displays the following: "Error: Could not find file 'c:\Program Files\denz\gbpvr\videos.mdb'". Appears to be searching for a db file that I don't have on computer. I searched entire computer for file and a few websites with no luck. I also have My Videos selected and that doesn't show up on my menu.
I have been reading about comskip but before I install it I was wondering if someone would take the time to explain how it works, the front end not the backend.
What I mean is...
I see that it processes a file (recording) and generates a text file. But, does it also delete the commercials from the recording? How does the user utilize the functionality?
P.S. This is probably for a new post but...Is the CDK scheduler better than the built in version? Often my recordings are ending about 4 mins early and several times my whole list of pending and recurring recordings mysteriously disappears.
Does anybody know where i can get this for a good price, and what version is pretty good. There are so many upgrade cd's out there and different versions, i am afraid of buying the wrong thing. Also i am currently using sharp develop which is pretty good and free, but is sharp develop limited, and also is visual studio.net alot easier and have alot more helpful tools. Just need some advice here.
Brand new to GB-PVR. I've got it basically working with little effort, but I have 2 issues that have me stumped. I'd appreciate your input.
I read in a previous post that the auto-updating for the EPG is not working, so I assume that the the 3am update won't happen. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
However, even in the config panel using the manual "Update EPG", if i don't first connect (dialup) to my ISP, the EPG update fails with "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly...". If I do first connect, then the EPG update goes through without a problem. Is this the current status of GBPVR, or am I missing something?
Secondly, once I have updated the EPG (manually as described above), after closing the config, and firing up GBPVR, when I look at the TV Guide, it reports the correct system time, but what it shows (for example) for 9pm, is what should be listed for 10:30am that morning. It's like the guide is time shifted. Any ideas?
Hi, I live in the United States and I'm trying to get an XML listing of channels available. Can't find a switch with XMLTV that will allow a listing for United States. I see many others such as Dutch, France, etc. but nothing for US. Please help.
When the screen shows the "recording now and soon" messages, is it possible to also display what recording source is being/going to be used.
I have a cable box with an IRBlaster. If it is being used for a recording, I dont want to change channels manually on the box as it will mess up the recording.
BUT, if a recording is using a different source then it is OK to change channels on cable (see what I mean?).
So at present, it could say recording now XYZ or recording soon ABC but I dont know (and neither does the wife) if it's OK to use the cable box.
Solution: Â "Recording Now: Star Trek: Enterprise on Cable"
This is a wife acceptance factor (WAF) issue and a stop wife from changing cable channels when i'm recording enterprise!
Is there any chance that you can make playback auto play the next file in a series if it exists. This would be usefull for playing back multiple LiveTV files, or in my case multiple files in a single recording. so show.mpg, is followed by show-1.mpg, then show-2.mpg, etc, etc...
why?, well my capture card gets stuck, so i monitor the file it's recording to, and when it stops getting bigger I stop the recording and move to the next file. When watching the recording I can watch the first file via the recordings menu, but i have to play the subsequent files manually, they're not avalible via the recordings interface.
I've update Jorm's RSSReader plugin. It will be officially announced after it is uploaded to the Wiki (I'm currently waiting on blader to make me an account).
In the meantime I've uploaded it to my private site as newsplugin4.zip. The zip file contains a readme.txt which should get you skin developers going. I also included some technical remarks in the sample skin files.
