  MaxRecordings
Posted by: KingArgyle - 2005-03-20, 03:28 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

A couple of things on max recordings:

1. You don't need to remove the entry from the Recording Schedule table yourself. GBPVR will automatically do this when it detects that the recording has been removed from it's folder.

2. How does this handle shows like Star Trek: Enterprise where they have a colon in the actual name stored in the program table.

3. If renaming a recording, should RenameRecording.exe be run before or after MaxRecordings.exe?

4. Any possibility of adding delete based on diskspace as well as the number of shows? I.e. start deleting shows when you get close to 10gb left or something like that?

I've setup it up to run on a few shows, and will see how it works.

  Logitech Harmony remote
Posted by: Jackrabbit - 2005-03-20, 03:20 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Hi folks,
wondering if anyone has used any of the logitech harmony remote(s) to control GB PVR.

Let me know.

Also,
I am searching for the best alternative to control MSI MEGA 865 with a remote, MSI media center deluxe with MSi remote is useless and I would prefer to stick with GB PVR (ITS the most unique solution out there.)

Thanks for any responses, keepup the great work.

Blank scr after "Starting Time Shift TV..." Msg
Posted by: jags_e - 2005-03-20, 11:29 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi,

I have a new Happauge 150MCE, XP pro system.

Installed GB-PVR -- version 09105.

See all channels properly in the tuning wizard.

Set-up Zap2It, EPG updated fine. Channel listings show up fine.

Configured the capture source properly as 150MCE.

When I run GB PVR, I get "Starting timeshift mode TV. Please wait" message and the screen stalls there.

The recording service runs fine. Whne I stop the service, I get the 'Failed to cmmunicate with recording service' message, so I guess the service runs Ok.

I am attaching my log files.

Please help...

TIA,
Jags.

  random background...
Posted by: reven - 2005-03-20, 10:38 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

who would like it if gbpvr downloaded (via a plugin, not a viewable one, but its there) a image from the internet every say 10 minutes (configurable) which replaced the background image, a whole skin might need to be made to support this, and a few plugin changes and design changes, but its possible. i just want to know if people would be interested in this, before i go ahead and bug sub to change a few things, and i bother changing a few things.

BBC3 and BBC4 not found during scan
Posted by: mgibbons - 2005-03-20, 09:59 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi
got GBPVR working but one problem remains which is a weird one. When I scan the BBC3 and BBC4 are not found. All the other BBC channels on the BBC multipex (BlueBell) hill are found but not those ones. The other multiplexs seem fine. Any ideas?

  Back/Exit exiting GBPVR with v.91.5
Posted by: sleptoor - 2005-03-20, 09:29 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I love the robustness and functionality of the new version of the program (v0.91.5) but the back/exit key on my (huappaugge 45 buttoun) remote now shuts down the program. Its far too easy to hit this button an extra time and exit the program by accident. I don't think it did this before....Did I change a setting I shouldn't have? Can I fix this or is it a "systemic change" that I have to live with? If it is a can I recommend that it be enabled or disabled somewhere.

  GBPVR Media Experience updated
Posted by: reven - 2005-03-20, 06:06 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (7)

update the media experience skin to work with gbpvr 0.9105 and my vids 3.1, my progs v2.0, my pics v2.1

download

i also changed the keypad skin, so it now longer shows the keys, just asks you to input the pin number (if your remote, for some extremely weird reason, doesnt have number keys, dont replace your old "Keypad" directory, or just copy it from the blue skin).

  my vids, pics, programs updated
Posted by: reven - 2005-03-20, 06:04 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (19)

ive updated my videos/pictures/programs so the skinning is more flexible now, nothing else changed in my pictures or my programs.

My Videos: #3.1.0.0
- IMDB lookups are a bit faster now (well a lot faster, but still slow)
- If my videos is disabled in the config, it will detect it and will not load everything.
- If you push play on a file with a pin, it asks for the pin now.
- Changed Keypad shortcut keys
- Green = clear
- Yellow = backspace
- back = cancel
- Fixed a few bugs in the keypad.

My Programs #2.0.0.0

My Pictures #2.1.0.0

my music will be updated later.
