Xrecord is not something that works for me, and i wonder is cause of pskill? Can anyone tell us what it is and how it's supposed to be used?

Can anyone suggest a way that this could work(with additional software/hardware etc.):

1. I attach the video + audio out of a satellite set top box (SKY) to the inputs on a card like WinTV, also using a USBUIRT to change channels via the computer..

2. Is there a way to access the video stream via other computer(s) on the network and if possible access the USBUIRT over the network to change channels? I am doing this as alternative to using a digisender which can interfere with wireless network.

I have the Compro DTV card and would like to use GB-PVR.
Are there any plans to impliment this card, and is it possible to use the other card settings in the mean time?

I originaly had only a pvr350 installed in my system and all was well.

I have since installed a nova-t alongside this and I cant seem to record anything from the nova-t, the 350 still seems to work but video seems to be skipping frames a bit more than it used to, also timeshift doesn't work on the nova-t either.

When entering timeshift mode the error returned is "Error: Failure playing back file".

Recordings from the nova-t create a mpg file with just a few odd frames sometimes but mostly zero length files.

Also there seems to be an issue with mapping a channel on the nova-t i think it is due to a single quote in the channel name "UKTV Br'tIdeas when I try to map this cahnnel it is not saved to the database.

the process priority of the recording serice is set to 'normal' per default. when i run other processes parallel during recording, the recordings get stuttered.
i changed the process priority of the recording service to 'high' using a 3rd party tool.
the stuttering in the recordings are gone now.
it would be cool to have a parameter to set the priority, so that i dont have to use another tool.

Last night I recorded a half hour show (11.15 PM - 11.45 PM) with the EPG but when I wanted to see it today, there was only the first 4 minutes.

I can see the file was created 11.47 PM.

When the show was recorded I was sleeping and wasn't using the mashine. It just sat there in the main menu.

I have no antivirus or nothing running in the background.

This is now the second time I see this within 3 days of use. Anyone knows what is going on ?

Will it help to upgrade from 0.9010 to 0.9105 ?

After rebooting my computer, GBPVR doesn't show livetv or record until I've run WinTV2000 first. The status shows it's recording, for example, but the files created are zero-length. I'm using Wintv-pvr-usb2.

I have a couple of plugins installed and configured. I must say, the instructions are a little fuzzy for a beginner (over at wiki).
I even modified a skin to my liking
Now I've got a technical question...is it possible to get gb-pvr to record elementary streams, instead of muxing?
I really like (and have been using for a long time) Cuttermaran, which works only with elementary streams, and it's frustrating to have to demux every file before editing. I find nanopeg too slow, and don't want to pay for playskool things like VideoReDo.
I've got mainconcept EVE, and Sony Vegas 4 movie studio, and 5 for my heavier work.

you can see that a lot of things have been taken out of the special elements and placed into the composite images, so you can have a description for list view, icon, preview, etc, also you can display the filesize in any view you want. its much more flexible.

this download is just for skinners, i want them to test it out and see if they want me to change anything else. also there maybe a bug or two (dont think there is thou, well nothing that wasnt there before).

these changes will also be made in my videos and my music.

last i asked you about actors that were missing titles, because the name in the casting is alaphabetic order, or first apperance.  What if you implement the filmography in the my videos and use that also as a reference for films.  maybe a check box in the config,  Checked for also downloading the list..Come on
