I installed 2 PVR-150's and everything seems to be working fine. The only problem thus far has been the Quality Profile setting in the Direct Recording settings. When you open it up when you are adding a new Capture Source it is defaulted to Medium.
I change it to High and close out....the recording service restarts. If I set something to record it defualts to medium. If I go back into the congicuration of for the card it shows medium.
sub would there be any chance to allow passing of a title and description when playback a video file. like for the blue bar some videos (most in my case) dont have a description, but most video plugins can get this info from other means, sure these plugins could just edit the gbpvr database and put a entry in for every file, but that could cause problems. for title this would replace the fillename on the blue bar, and description go where the description normal goes (title is nicer than the filename i feel). just have a check if string = "" then use default value.
I had this before, and it's been gone for a while.
I was showing someone how gbpvr is recording while you watch live, and I found two days worth of live tv files that haven't been deleted.
As soon as I restarted gbpvr, it cleaned them up immediately. But, it's already started storing them again.
Any ideas on where or how to fix this one?
Btw, an idea: being able to choose to save that file. You may watch a whole show, and say, "I should keep that". Since you technically recorded it, it would be nice to be able to go back out to guide and choose "preserve".
Yesterday morning the comic worked, during the day I installed the .90.10 release, and this morning the comics don't work. Here I was ready to rile you guys with broken program whining, but on further investigation it seems the domain for the site you get them from expired Friday. The plugin's not broken, the site is.
Maybe they'll fix it Monday.
Have seen this twice now, although I wasn't paying all that much attention the first time and so am not sure if it's related...
Have GBPVR, GBPVR MVP, and the recording service all running. I've removed all of my Hauppuage software except for the drivers and the Intervideo. All seems to work together just fine.
However, at the 1 hour mark when my screen saver (My Pictures SLideshow) goes off, the CPU runs to about 99%. Pictures are on a different disk from where the TV recordings are supposed to go in an attempt to minimize just such an interaction.
I double-checked my Config, and did notice that I had the web server option turned on, so I've turned that off to see if that helps.
SO, am wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this?
Also, am wondering if there is some way to tell GBPVR to only use up to X% of the disk on the off chance I'm getting the disk too full (though I doubt that since the recordings disk has over 100 Gig free)...
I'm just, at last, managing to get everything set up on GBPVR after I discovered that it's possible to play 16:9 Divx through it using the ffdshow trick and also how to get the channel codes to stick for Sky.
However, I cannot get any sound from LiveTV either while watching or on the recordings. I have my Sky Digital box connected via Scart to the Hauppauge PVR-250 S-video and Line Input sockets. I have tried it out using the (horrible) WinTV 2000 application and it seems that it is all working (i.e. I'm getting picture and sound in that), but no sound in GBPVR (latest version 0.90.10).
I'm probably doing something really stupid, but having trawled through this forum and the wiki for about 3 hours now, I decided it's probably worth just asking the question
Anyway, really hope someone can help me with this, as I'm champing at the bit to use this software!
The CDKScheduler is a great util - but it so damm complex that I can't figure it out (and I can't use XRecord - it will not save settings til xml-file for some reason). Can anyboby provide me with a few exsamples of the XML format? ei: How do you make a program record within a timeframe (only if program starts after 17:00 and ends before 22:00)?
I have been agonising about which TV card to get. I need to input from a telewest cable box so I will go with an analogue card. I will use GB-PVR and probably eventually WMCE (cries of 'traitor'. The remote shown on the UK Hauppauge website shows the MediaMVP style remote with the 150. The US site shows a more sophisticated remote. If I get the retail UK version from an etailer which remote is in the box? Any recent purchasers out there? Best price??
