I have searched but can't find an answer to my question.  Forgive me if this is something that everyone else knows but I can't find a way to sort the lists of "Ready Recordings" or "Reoccurring Recordings".

I don't know if they are listed in the order they were created or some other arbitrary order but I would like to see them in alphabetical order to make it easier to find something.

How is this done?

I have been having some problems with the audio track not recording for some shows. Below is a timeline of what happened.

Friday 2/18
8:00 pm - recorded channel 17 (changed from 35) audio is ok.
9:00 pm - recorded channel 13 picture is fine but no audio.
10:00 pm - recorded channel 56 picture is fine but no audio.
11:00 pm - recorded another show on channel 56 - audio and picture record fine.
12:00 am - recorded another show on channel 56 - audio and picture record fine.

So with the small sample from Friday, the sound only seems to be an issue if I have been recording and then have to change channels to start a new recording.

Any ideas on what I could do to fix this problem?

I have not found any exact info on this in the forum.
Is there any way to get the subtitles included in the mpeg file when ripping a DVD using DVD2MPEG. As I am using a MVP I am stuck to mpeg2 and living in Sweden I would like to get the Swedish subtitles.

Hi, im new here and new with the GB-PVR stuff.
I want to build up a GB-PVR recorder/server (with media-mvp) on my windows 2003 server.
I searched the forum about GB-PVR running on windows 2003 server, but did not find anything about it.

So my questions are:
1. Is GB-PVR also running on a windows 2003 server ?
2. Is WIN-TV-PVR 150 running on a windows 2003 server ?

I have to 150's in my machine. I have scheduled back to back recordings. I have set the first recording to record 2 additional minutes. The second recording I have scheduled to start 5 minutes before the 1st ends. Why does the 2nd not record on the 2nd card but wait for the first card to finish before it records?

- "Show Info On OK" - if this is checked in config when you press enter/ok on a file/iso/dvd(if listed in virtual root) it will show the info screen, and if no info is found it will use "best effort" (or if in a tv folder "episode lookup&quot to find the information. if this is enabled you can play a video/iso/dvd via the play button, if its not enable, the play button wont do anything, so if you want to keep it just for music playback this wont interrupt it.
- Max Description Length - you can now define the maximum number of characters to be displayed for the description (only displayed the full description is stored, so you can change this, useful for very long descriptions).

I added a "Info" screen, you can access this by pressing the red button (ctrl-r).  this is extremely skinnable (anyone skinners need help just ask), it can display actors, director,writer, tagline, description, rating, certification, runtime, year of release, and genres.

the database need to be majorly altered to add all this information, so you will need to delete the old videos.mbd database, and download the seperate database (its no longer packaged in the "myvideos.zip" since now one database can be used for all 3 plugins).  when you download and install the "mydatabase.mdb" file and my videos 2.1.x, you'll need to configure it and alter the "Connection String" (YOU MUST DO THIS! and change it from "videos.mdb" to "mydatabase.mbd" (assuming you place the database in the same location, ie C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\mydatabase.mbd).  you can also edit the "my music" and "my pictures" database connection strings and point them to this database (you might want to wait for a couple more releases thou, you may have to delete it).

ps GBPVR Media Experience has been updated to work with myvideos v2.1.0.0 (download)

Is it possible to get the recordings in chunks? It's rather unpractical for me to deal with 6Gb files. I rather have 6 1Gb.

Is this configurable?

Yes, I know I can do it post. But if it's implemented allready, why do everything the hard way? :-)

I have a Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 tuner and I have trouble getting sound on some TV channels...

With TuningAssistant I have obtained and updated the source channel for each channel, the behavior is that some channels got sound some not, and in some cases after switching some programs I have no sound for all channels...

Some more details:
I live in Romania a country that is not listed in Direct Recording Configuration dialog, so I have choose Italy that appears to have somewhat similar channels, I think that this may be the problem for sound issue, is there a way to setup for Romania ?

also my channels switch slow, about 1-2 seconds, and sometimes the image is moving slowly for about 5 seconds, similar when the computer struggle to play a movie, but I think that this is not the case, I have check the task manager and the cpu load is below 70-80%, is this normal ? i mean the slowly channel change

With native Winfast PVR application my tuner work flawlessly I have no issue with that, and is very fast in switching channels and the cpu load is 10-20% in timeshift mode...

I know that Hauppauge sells the new remote for $15, but I would need an IR receiver to use it on my PC. Does anyone know where to get an IR receiver that works with GBPVR? I have a PVR250 card so I can get use one that plugs into that card, or a USB one if that would work. (The first owner of the card threw away the remote and receiver!    )

As I have seen with others, the MVP GB-PVR combo is the first real oppurtunity to start a PVR that I am willing to deal with. I always thought it excessive to buy a 2nd PC (maybe a mac mini...).

Anyway, has anyone had experience with the wireless video/stereo senders? I want to explore this as an alternative to buying a MVP. Mostly these hook up to VGA, sound, or video output and transmit to a reciever/breakout box at the TV. I have only seen composite, no s-vid. Keep in mind I am watching tv on a not-too-fancy SDTV.

I have a 2nd story loft very near the TV, with a half wall. I do not expect range or obstruction to be a signifigant issue. I also am only willing to consider the MVP as a wireless (802.11g) solution - (I'd stop and buy an MVP if it had g built in). Of course the sender is cheaper, but is it an unwise direction? The positive is that I am not limited by formats that MVP supprots, as it's the PC being accessed. I also have an x10 rf remote that works fine from that distance to control the box.

To clarify, wires from the PC upstairs in the loft to the TV downstairs aren't acceptable options.
