  TV Guide Blank
Posted by: CoolSwoosh - 2005-02-20, 10:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

All,

Sorry if this is a repost, I did some searching but couldn't find anything...

Just recently, my TV Guide went blank..totally blank (Channel and Channel Names appear, but no shows). I updated my EPG, but that was not the problem, as the mini guide is correct, and so are show descriptions. Even the web administration's guide is correct (shows programs, descriptions, etc)

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  What is GBPVR compatible with?
Posted by: Nipedley - 2005-02-20, 09:59 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Hi guys, im relatively new to the world of tv tuners though i have owned a couple in the past.. I'm looking into getting Freeview on my pc, but I really like the look of GBPVR...
Is it possible to use freeview with GBPVR? (I noticed a few freeview channels on the tv guide in the screenshots?) if so what tuners are compatible that you recommend (and if possibe, with the CI), and if not what tv tuners are compatible that you recommend? Thanks a lot =)

  DVBT setup....what is device number?
Posted by: Paulp33 - 2005-02-20, 09:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

In the settings window in BDA setup there is a "device number" selection. Is this number to select which installed device you wish to use for the setup or to give the profile you are setting up a number. ie I have three dvbt cards in my computer and i want GBPVR to use the third one (as listed in the registry), does this control select this card if I make the number 3?

  creating dvd

Whats the easiest way to make a dvd (dvd+r) out of the mpeg's that gbpvr creates? Rather it not be a plugin... is there a tool that will put it into an iso form or something that dvd decryptor will write?

Lock up when submitting record request - any help?
Posted by: longhorn1687 - 2005-02-20, 09:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I've searched this board for similar problems but I couldn't find anything...

After submitting a record request GBPVR just seems to lock up on me and I have to VNC to the box kill the process and restart it. Funny thing is, once I restart it the record request is in the pending state!?

Any ideas?

  Audio Display
Posted by: Tulex - 2005-02-20, 08:42 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

I know some of the newer cases have stereo displays built into them, some maybe even can be used without the pc being on. Anyone know of add on systems? Want to build my own Hush like case (I'm a machinest), and don't like the cases that have this feature so far, or at least what I've seen.

  Live TV channels
Posted by: Johans - 2005-02-20, 08:42 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - No Replies

Hi,
Can somebody tell me where the channels are stored for the Live TV or where they coming from?
When I start Live TV, the 5 first channels are rubbisch, bad frequency I guess.
I want to get rid of them.

Some digital channel recordings never sync
Posted by: bgowland - 2005-02-20, 08:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I'm having mixed results with recording digital channels and would be interested in particular to hear from anyone using Crystal Palace to see if they see the same thing.

Some channels seem to record fine every time - ITV2 & ITV3 (C22) and BBC3 (C25), for example. Occasionally on playback though, sound and vision go out of sync. but this isn't the recording and I can get it back by using stop/play/resume - minor issue that I can live with.

Some channels, however, seem to record out of sync. 'Sky Travel' and 'UKTV History' (both C34) and 'Ftn' and 'TMF' (both C29) are examples.

Anybody seeing anything similar?

Cheers,
Brian

  Nova-T (909) on Win2K Possible?
Posted by: pmk - 2005-02-20, 06:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am considering purchasing a NovaT909 card to use with GBPVR however the Hauppauge web site says the drivers are for Windows XP only is this correct?

http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages....tml#win

Also 16MB seems quite large for drivers is the download above drivers only or is there a driver only package available to download from somewhere?

There is also a MPG Decoder download link also is this a good decoder to use for MPG1/2/DVD files?

TIA

  Differnt Tuners in PVR-150
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2005-02-20, 06:17 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I purchased two PVR-150's from Circuit City yesterday. Both are working fine. I noticed when I was installing them that the sticker on the tuner of each card was different. One had a 2002 model/date and the other had a 2004 model/date. Took the older one back and tried to exchange it for another. After opening 3 other boxes I was not able to find another one with a 2004 model/date.

Below is what I gleaned from GraphEdit on the two cards.

2002 dated card:
Model 26032 rev. C199
Firmware 2.5.32
Audio Firmware 1.3.30
Serial 2935432
Tuner 99
Decoder 28
Audio 35
IR

2004 dated card:
Model 26052
Firmware 2.5.32
Audio Firmware
Serial 7599138
Tuner 85
Decoder 30
Audio 37
IR
