when quiting out of config I get an exception thrown, i pressume because the service can't start. Â I attempted to started the service with service.msc but it fails with error 193:0xc1. Â I have setup everything correctly (i think) and I do have some channels tunned in. Â
I'm using Nova-t 90002,XP-SP2,MVP & the v09010
Hey, when i launch tunning assistant it just quits without scanning any channels.. sometimes it scans a few channels and quits... but mostly it just quits!!!
Hi all,
First of all, this is a great little community, excuse my first newbie post
I'm on my way to building my GB-PVR machine, I haven't actually bought the TV-Tuner card yet, but I intend to buy a PVR-350 and MediaMVP from Savastore. I do have other video content on my PC from various sources which I would like to be able to play via GB-PVR, is this possible? Or can GB-PVR only play content that it has recorded off-air?
I imagine as long as the content I have is in MPEG format I merely just place the files in the appropriate directory on the GB-PVR PC?
Since I can understand that you can't just go from live to playing the recording file easily, a nice work around, and would be to allow you to play a recording file from the guide.
Hi - a complete noob here
I've got the MVp working successfully with a direct connection to my laptop.
My question is - I have a wireless card for my laptop and a belkin wireless access point. Is it possible to connect with this setup?
I tried yesterday (albeit with the hauppauge software) but it just stuck when connecting to servers. I am hoping to get a router for my home PC tomorrow, but that still leaves me with the problem of connecting something wirelessly to the MVP if the access point is not the correct thing to use.
I recently installed VobSub on my GB-PVR machine for displaying subs (and also to fix the aspect ratio). It works great on Media Player but when used with GB-PVR it doesn't show the characters å, ä and ö correctly. I assume it's a codepage incompatibility between the two but I can't seem to be able to figure it out. Any help appreciated, TIA.
Hi,
I'm having a problem starting with version 09.08 and 09.10
My configuration is as follow:
p4 2.8 (prescott)
512 mb
Ati 9800 pro (driver catalyst 5.12)
Hauppauge 150 (no MCE)
XP pro + Sp2 + latest update
.NET 1.1 + sp1 + latest update
on board audio decoder ac97 (with latest driver)
mother board Asus p4p800
MPEG2 decoder Cyberlink power DVD 6
MPEG2 decoder Intervideo Windvd 6
mpgmux ver 5.0.0 727
After the installation of the new versions I can see the image (in live tv) but I cannot hear any sound.
This happen only if "live preview mode" is selected, otherwise the error is "unable to connect to GBPVR recording system ..."
Attached there is the log file with the description of the error.
At the moment I tried the following:
uninstall / reinstall the audio driver
uninstall / reinstall the .net + sp1
uninstall / reinstall of video driver
uninstall / reinstall of Powerdvd and Windvd
uninstall / reinstall of GBPVR (after uninstall I completely delete devnz directory)
tried all the combination of "mpeg decoder", "audio renderer", vmr9 ,vmr7 and overlay
note: if I use wintv 2000 from Hauppauge or showshifter 3 it works perfectly.
I am currently trying out GBPVR with MediaMVP without a TV card. I unticked the plugin boxes I wasn't currently using to make the interface neater. I now want to add a plugin or two back in but I cannot get the checkbox to highlight (ie I can't tick it!
