... What exactly does this do? Could someone on the XRecord team give me some information regarding it? I saw in an earlier version, you had to have VLC installed, and then uncomment out some code or what not to get the "transcode" menu option...

I can't seem to select a show and then transcode, and when I select "transcode" itself, it says "no shows" or something to that effect... I can't figure it out...

I checked out the plugins page for XRecord, and it didn't seem to have any info there...

I have 0.910 and followed the directions for editing irremote.ini for use with the "old" Hauppauge remote but with no success. In main menu the CH+ and CH- don't do anything, but I can navigate using 0-9. In TV guide CH+ does a page up and CH- does a page down...other plugins/accessories behave strange too. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong...something simple...does anyone have any ideas?

Managed to get GB-PVR 0.90.10 to install on the new machine. However, when I chose "Live TV" I just get a black screen. Trying to use my PVR-350 for TV-Out, and did select it in the Playback area, and have tried both VMR9 and Overlay.

System is running WinXP SP2 with 512 megs of RAM and with an nVidia GeForce 5200 video card as well as the Hauppauge.

Any ideas?

I'm trying to get a list of all recorded shows including the friendly name of the channel, I'm not extremely sucessfull. ;-)

I get an error running this:

It says the join expression isn't supported.

And a last question, is there such a live-command window for MS-access where I can test run my queries. Now I have to run a small console application to verify my SQL syntax, very time consuming.

Just curious what people use to edit out scenes (like commercials)... any free software that would allow someone to edit and extract scenes and save it as a smaller mpeg file?

I have this complicated process now, that doesn't allow me to save it into an mpeg

Is there a way to change the Menus in XRecord?
Here is an example of what I mean.
I curently use My Videos plugin and my wife likes it.
But if she first goes to XRecord then trys to go to Videos she get XRecords Video when she want My Videos plug in. Then I hear something about it not working right again
So I would like to remove a few of the menus items to simplifiy it. (Videos, Free Space, Fast Find)
Something like how GB-PVR menus are selectable would be great.

I have the intervideo windvd creator installed to allow DVB recording but the recordings a stuttered, there are 2-4 sec gaps the 1 sec recording then another 2-3 sec gap.

If I watch the file size of the file being recorded it jumps up in filesize by 50-100kb every 2-3 seconds, I would expect it to be constantly writing to the file.

I tried using cyberlinks filters instead and got similar results. Does anyone have any ideas what to try next (tried a reinstall).

Or can anyone send me there filters that though know definatly work

I have just started trying GBPVR - Looks VERY promising so far, in fact when recording I get 1-3% CPU usage where when recording with the software that came with my Device I get 30% (although I haven't experimented much yet!. The problem I have is that live TV is TERRIBLE, I get around 1 frame every 2 seconds, or at best a short burst of frames every 2 seconds.

Any help GREATLY appreciated.

I am a newbie to GB-PVR, and have tried to install a couple of times. However I have a problem related to EPG settings - simply how!

I have configured the Capturing Source (I have a PVR USB2) and related settings (I live in Denmark).

I have also selected the XMLTV plugin as EPG Source, but when selecting the settings (as described in the Quickstart guide) I don't know what to select at the subsequent prompt. This is not described in the Quickstart guide. The only statement here is:

"After selecting an EPG source, you should click the settings button to configure the EPG settings."

and no further guidelines.

Please help - I really want to try out this application.

I'm having a really weird problem using Sonic's CinePlayer MPEG decoder with GBPVR. I can use it for DVD playback and it works like a champ. When I select it for TV (i.e., MPEG) playback, it works, but the picture is upside-down.

Sonic claims that they only support using the decoder with WMP, and I am "returning" my copy for a refund online.

First, can anyone tell me if that's a known problem.

Second, is there a fix to be had?

Third, I'm thinking about going to a better vid card than the Savage integrated with my mobo (Shuttle SK41G). If I choose one that has an integrated MPEG decoder, will that work for GBPVR?

Once again, thanks to sub and all for a good product. My kids love having their shows available anytime.
