When I try to stop a recording while it is recording - nothing happens - I have tried from pending and via tvguide.

Okay, guys, I wanna know (for those of you familiar with Star Trek series and the LCARS displays or even those with an eye for colour schemes): which colour scheme do you like better?  The scheme I generally work from is found here.  I want anyone who uses my skin to love it so I wanna know what you guys/girls think.  Thanks!

Hello all, this is my first post here

I just bought a hauppauge pvr150. I installed it in a machine that isnt going to be my HTPC. My HTPC parts are on its way. Right now the system specs are athlon xp 2500+, 512MB, 30gig HD 7200RPM 8.5ms, using onboard video its a via/s3g km400/kn400.

So i have gbpvr installed and when i go and watch something within bgpvr the picture is there, but its not smooth. Its choppy for a couple of seconds and then its smooth for a few seconds and then choppy the next few seconds again. Is this happening because of the onboard video that im using?

I just want to make sure that its not the pvr150 thats causing it to be choppy.

so i just want to make sure that when i receive my HTPC stuff and a better video card that everything would be fine...

Sorry... I wasn't sure where to post this. Developers forum seemed a little more appropriate as I don't want to bother sub.

But I am hoping to be able to use the commercial cut list created by comskip in videoredo. I have seen that the newer version(s) of comskip support a videoredo cut list. Will this same cut list work for GBPVR or will I have to run comskip 2x(1x for compatibility with GBPVR ? and 1x for an output which supports videoredo?)
I am at the point where I have started playing with cutting the commercials out for the videos I want to archive and save on disk space. Seems a shame to have to rum comskip again.

Is there any possibility that music playback of CDDA, mp3 and ogg vorbis files would be gapless? As in Foobar2000?

Either in GBPVR or in a plugin...

This is mostly important for mixed DJ sets or live concert recordings, but also some studio albums are mixed together for a continous flow.

I noticed that there is a 2.8 version of MDAC. I am currently using what I think is 2.6, which is pointed to by the GBPVR home page. Is there any reason to update, or not to update?

GBPVR uses Microsoft Access as it's default database. This is a very convient database to use as it can easily be distributed with the application. However, Access is known not to be the speediest of databases. Microsoft has a knowledge base article that may be of use to some of the more technically inclined for how to tune the Jet Database Engine and Access.

It does involve chaning Registry settings. So if you aren't comfortable editing the registry and are happy with your current performance, then you probably don't want to do the changes the article mentions.

I'm using a PVR-150 for recording. Some of my recordings from one specific channel have no sound. I think this is a tuning issue. I've tested the channel using WinTV2000 and found that fine tuning the channel up slightly that WinTV2000 gets the channel with sound. How do I fine tune the channel within GBPVR?
