Posted by: knotboy - 2005-02-11, 10:55 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I want to have a output from my soundcard to my receiver and let my receiver handel the 5.1 surround. How do I do this? What is a good soundcard?

  Remote tweaking
Posted by: capone - 2005-02-11, 10:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

I finally got the win-tv remote to work via the beta drivers. Now that I can use it, I was hoping to ask a couple questions:

1) Can the Videos button be remapped to My Videos instead?

2) Is there a comprehensive list of keyboard/remote key commands? eg, I see things like the Power button mapped to {ctrl}{shift}{f1}, but can't find what that is mapped to.

Posted by: sub - 2005-02-11, 08:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

A couple of users had report that they used two capture source one the card (one svid/composite, one tuner), and GB-PVR wasnt realising they were the same card and allowing to recordings to be scheduled.

If you suffer from this, please email at support@devnz.com so I can diagnose further. Thanks.

Sub,

I know you are swamped, I just wanted to check and see if you got the log files I sent you concerning my Dual PVR-150 issues?

No rush, just checking to make sure they got there.

Thanks,
jjakober

  channel translation aka composite-video-input
Posted by: jboeren - 2005-02-11, 07:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

When using wintv channel 201 (which doesn't exist in real life) is internal conntected to the composite-video-input of the card. This allows you to use the composite-video-input to use a a "real" broadcasted station.
When I try this channel number in gbpvr nothing happens. Who knows the answere?

  Web Scheduler unaccessable outside
Posted by: TechVW - 2005-02-11, 07:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I can view the web scheduler on my local network, but I can not access it from outside my network.

My router is forwarding the port to my PVR machine, and all my other forwarded ports work correctly, so there is something different about gb-pvr.  Right now I have to remote desktop/VNC into another machine and access the web scheduler from there [Image: sad.gif]  Any suggestions?

  Changing a forum poll
Posted by: chasef - 2005-02-11, 07:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Sub, I really hate to bother you with so trivial an issue but I believe I need to alter my polling choices for the LCARS colour schemes poll but I don't seem to be able to. Is this possible? Also, will I view the actual vote results every time I open the thread? Cause, I'm not sure they're updating.

Thanks!!

  Shrinking Access database size
Posted by: jasjol - 2005-02-11, 07:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

My Access database GBPVR.MDP is 224MB - and I guess I should be able to shrink it.

Does anyone know of a tool to do this?

(I do not have MSaccess)
