Is there a way that this could be incorporated into the "EPG Source" section of GBPVR Configuration, so that it would automatically update it for me, similar as to XMLTV or Zap2It does?
Hi,
after the 2/2/2005 bug in the previous version I upgraded to the last version. Last week my TV guide did not go beyond Saturday on my MVP. Then after running config.xml, update EPG, no changes. My xml file was further ahead.
For some reason changing skins, and back suddenly updated my tv guide.
Now I am facing the same problem: my xml file goes up to 15th of February, my TV guide in GBPVR stops after sunday (13th).
Can anyone tell me how to automatically update the EPG? Maybe I can include it in the scheduled tasks, but manually copying my listings.xml to epg...xml in the gbpvr-folder did not work out. I cannot find the parsed guide in the Gbpvr program folder! what to do.
By the way, just ordered a second MVP for upstairs. I was working with showshifter 3 for almost a year, but got crazy of not being able to multitask: wait for a recording to finish before you can start watching that movie of last week! With a pvr350, silly!
Thanks,
eric
Maybe my scheduled update time is too close to the download time of the file in xmltv. When this download is in progress (during 3+ hours, I use --slow) the .xml file is 0kb and this probably may fail the update... I will test it when I am home!
Finally got rid of all the errors with the new 908 release except for this one:
9/02/2005 10:33:59 p.m..153 VERBOSE [2] getValue() loading new key/value into cache: /settings/RecordingServiceLocation
9/02/2005 10:33:59 p.m..153 VERBOSE [2] getValue: /settings/RecordingServiceLocation : tcp://localhost:7968/RecordingRemote
9/02/2005 10:33:59 p.m..203 ERROR [2] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="MenuType"]
9/02/2005 10:33:59 p.m..213 VERBOSE [2] Loading main menu
Doesn't seem to affect GBPVR, but since I am into 'good housekeeping' and like to keep the logs clean, I am wondering what causes the error and how to fix it.
I cannot get this to default to anything but Medium Quality, then every time I set to record, I need to change the qaulity from Medium to High. Is there a way to make the Default High? or Custom?
When timeshifting live tv I lose sound as soon as I use the ffd or rew keys. Pressing the skip key restores the sound.
I am running v0.90 with a PVR350.
I noticed that this same problem was previously reported by reefboy on 12/11/04 using v0.23. According to reefboy this was not a problem under v0.22.
I've tried changing the MPEG-2 playback options but it seemed to have no effect. The current workaround is to use the short skip instead of FF/RW option.
Im using a Twinhan card with the latest BDA drivers. Ive tunned the channels in the Configuration app, and can see them in the preview window. Ive then mapped them to the EPG channels.
But when I go into the main app and click "live tv" it says:
"Channel tuning information unknown"
Am i missing a setup step, maybe the tuning app but this does not seem to be for DTV cards?

I consider buying a WinTV 150 card. I know that the software from Hauppauge seperates Timeshift and Record function. Which means that if you record something you cannot use timeshift. And if you timeshift, it is not a real record.
