  Consistency

I am really impressed with all the plugins that are now available for GBPVR. However, one of the big advantages to me and the "Wife Acceptance Factor" for something like BeyondTV is that they maintain a common set of button presses to do the same or similar things in all the different bits of the software. For instance

1. Page up / Page Down. Page down seems to be Blue button but can we "standardise" on page up?  Yellow or Green
2. Menu Button - Xrecord goes to side menu and then out to main menu on a second press. The "My" series goes straight out to the main menu on a single press.

What do you think - is it possible that the plugin developers (and sub) can agree on these things.

Also I am sure there are more buttons that could be standardised............

  No Video Using Hauppauge 150
Posted by: oscar13sd - 2005-02-05, 12:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I can't seem to get any video while trying to access the Live TV.  I can get audio, i can record shows and watch them later.  I can get video using the Tuning Assistant.  I have tried Power DVD 6 and the Intervideo that comes with the WinTV 150.  It seems like i can get everything else to work except for the live TV.  And i have searched this forum trying to find an answer to no avail obviously.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Top and Bottom of 350 output is cut off
Posted by: shfaxx - 2005-02-05, 12:15 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

The output of my PVR-350 is very slightly cut off at the top and bottom of the screen. The left and right are fine.

For example on the main screen if I have "recordings" selected it says "View programmes you have recorded. Browse or remove future scheduled recordings" But on my TV I only see the 1st line. Is there any way to adjust this?

By the way is programmes spelled this way on purpose?

laters.

  Server 2003?
Posted by: lseats - 2005-02-05, 12:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I want to reinstall the operating system and start from scratch on my PVR machine. I have a Windows Server 2003 license available and am thinking about using it for the PVR.

Has anyone been running GB-PVR on Server 2003? Have you had any problems that wouldn't occur on XP Pro?

  How To Edit Config.xml in V .90?
Posted by: td911 - 2005-02-04, 10:26 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (9)

I can not edit the config.xml to insert correct MVP X/Y coordinates.

Everything I've tried results in a GB-PVR crash.

I used XML editors, EditPad, you name it I've done it.

Looking for some advice.

Thanks in advance

Posted by: raptoger - 2005-02-04, 10:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,
I have my system finally working pretty but there is one thing I need to fix. Using the software the came with the hauppauge card, I'm able to tune the card for better picture but after restart the picture returns to the default, which I find too dark. Any suggestion that could help me avoid tuning at every restart?

Thanks

  NOVA-T (Old Type) with BDA?
Posted by: marc_ely - 2005-02-04, 10:10 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (10)

Just noticed the recent update so thought I'd give this a go.
Using Hauppauge NOVA-T card (old style with Grundig tuner, not the 90002).

I have this working fine with the Technotrend BDA application and latest BDA drivers.

But there's no choice in GBPVR config to use my card, just the 90002 type.

Is there anything I can tweak to get the old card to work?

Thanks.
Marc

  MVP and PC Interfaces
Posted by: lerxst - 2005-02-04, 09:37 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - No Replies

I'd like to be able to use my MVP to control the interface, but I want the sound to come out of the computer instead of the TV. Since they are in different rooms, is there any way to do this?

Here's the scenario:

I want to control my Jukebox from my TV, but I want the PC to output the sound to my FM transmitter. I don't want the transmitter in the the living room.

TIA,
Lerxst
