  0.9 Scheduled recordings 'Stick'
Posted by: Ericwiz - 2005-02-05, 02:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

This is a weird one and has only started since the upgrade to .9.
What happens is that a show that is scheduled to record records but the show continues to list "recording" well after the show has completed. This causes all other programs not to record and if you try to watch live TV, even after cancelling the recording I get the error
"Error: No connectin coult be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Restarting the the recording service fixes the error above.

Anyone else run into this?

  Recordings not listing
Posted by: tweek - 2005-02-05, 02:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

This week, I recorded a couple of shows and for the first time, the recordings were NOT listed in my recordings list. They are on the hard disk in mpeg2 files but I can't seem to get to them using GBPVR.

Does anyone know why this happens/what I've done wrong?!

Thanks in advance!

  No Freeview
Posted by: Digiman - 2005-02-05, 01:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi. - I've just upgraded to the latest version (0908) and I'm using a Hauppauge Nova-T PCI card. I'm receiving excellent signal quality from my Tv aerial installation (I'm a rigger) and all Freeview channels work ok when I'm using the latest version of Showshifter DVB. However, when I try and tune in Freeview with GB-PVR, it seems to miss out most of the multiplex frequencies, so I'm only pulling in about 10 channels or so which are mostly radio ones. Does anyone have a solution? - My local transmiter is based at Llanddona, Anglesey, Wales. Thanks.

Graphic cards and TV playback v0908
Posted by: bugsy10000 - 2005-02-05, 11:51 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have tried using a couple of graphics cards so i can use VMR9, but whilst LiveTV works as it should (opens in same window), the picture is very choppy - seems to skip video and audio every 0.5 secs.
When trying to record, it seems to record ok, but when i play it back, it's as if i'm fastforwarding all the way thru the recording.

Tried using onboard vga, and whilst the TV doesn't skip, it opens into a ActiveMovie window and won't let me change channels.

When tuning the channels in on capture source, the playback is choppy there aswell, unless it is onboard vga.

Using Cyberlink software, and have downloaded ffdshow.

Hardware:
Asus Prodigy P4S, Celeron @ 1700Mhz, Nova-t 90002 dvbt card, 80Gb hdd, 256Mb ram.
Tried using Ati/Sapphire 64Mb DDR PCI card (preferred card as it has S-video, dvi and d-sub out) and nVidia TNT 64 32Mb PCi card.

  Mouse not working in livetv
Posted by: netsucker - 2005-02-05, 11:08 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I installed the new version (nice channel changing btw, sub!Wink
But have a small problem:

I can navigate the menu's with the mouse perfectly however when entering live tv or playing a recording. For some reasons mouse clicks are not registered on the buttons (pause, etc).
This has worked in the previous release, does anyone have the same problem?

I also have a small problem in window mode, resizing the live tv window whyle playing leads to an error (object reference is not set) no biggy, so i don't mind (don't use windowed mode anyway).

  cannot remove "capture source"
Posted by: Turas - 2005-02-05, 09:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

hello,
when i remove a capture source from within the config-tool, the source is still displayed after restarting the tool.

examination of gbpvr.mdb shows, that the source has not been removed from the database (table CAPTURE_SOURCE).

  shrink gbpvr.mdb automatically
Posted by: Turas - 2005-02-05, 09:00 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

hello,

the size of gbpvr.mdb on my system had grown to ~150MB. shrinking it with ms-access brought it down to ~4MB.

this could be done automatically during system startup, or at least with a button from within the config-tool.
