I am wondering what capture quality you guys recommend? When I go to record a show under "quality" live tv isn't there. Is using high overkill for cable?
I've been using zap2it epg for about a week now just fine. Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled gbpvr to get my remote working. Now when I do an epg updated it requests the listing and then saves it but it doesn't download populate my channel listing. I've tried several times and my login still works. If i change my password I get an error. Here's what the log says. Any ideas? Thanks
I know that sub is on vacation, but this will need to be addressed upon his return. Â Yesterday morning my box shut itself down due to excessive temp; this was a first. Â Upon reboot and later in the day, I recieved a file corruption message from windows (a little balloon in the system tray) stating that C:\Windows\Temp\JETE1.tmp was corrupt and unreadable. Â It so happens that GBPVR was not functioning at all either after this message appeared. Â
I rebooted, ran chkdsk and upon restart I noticed that my McAfee virusscan was 50% processor usage (on a hyperthreaded box, so really 100%). Â When I stopped GBPVR, this ceased. Â The McAfee On-Access scanner displayed that it was constantly scanning the Access lock file C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.ldb. Â I added an exclusion in McAfee to not scan this file and all is now good. Â
So, what happened between versions to cause this? Â I suppose only sub knows. Â But I'm pretty sure this is what caused the corruption in the .tmp file and I'm certain I'll monitor processor usage after each install from now on.
Can someone confirm/deny this?

Just got my MVP last week and have been playing about with various pieces of software for it. Been looking and playing with GB-PVR a lot - I love the slick interface, features and functionalities. I did run into an issue though, and I hope that some people here can help me out.
When I run GB-PVR in fullscreen mode on the PC, I can browse all my video files (mainly DivX and Xvid stuff), and play them back - i.e. they show up in the library list, I can select them and the actual movies start playing. When I connect with the MVP, I can't see those files at all, and so can't play them. Is this a known issue?

Hi,
I have installed the new version of the VideoArchiver-Utility from 16. December 2004. After Configuration and starting GB-PVR (2323) and clicking on "Videos" I get the following error-message:
[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Error: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
After clicking on OK and calling Video again I get the erro-message:
[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Error: Die ConnectString-Eigenschaft wurde nicht initialisiert.
I've added "My Music" to the wiki and its ready for heavy testing, im sure there are a few bugs in it, but it mostly works, more features will come in the not so distant future. i just want a few more people to start testing it, and giving me feedback on features etc.
I have a WinTV-PVR-350 with the silver remote.
And GB-PVR v0.23.13.
I read in the help files that If I check âUse direct access to Hauppauge remoteâ and don't start the remote, that I would be able to use it when GB-PVR does not have focus. Â
I looked for the IR32.exe the doc specified but found that my remote software was loading ir.exe. Â Anyway. Â I stopped and restarted the computer (it stayed stopped). Â Checked the flag in the config file and started GB-PVR. Â Trouble is now the remote does not work at all.
